Edison Chen to Hold Concert in Beijing
Edison Chen (陳冠希) announced that he will be holding a mini concert in Beijing on April 2, his first concert in eight years.
The 35-year-old made the announcement on his official Instagram on Wednesday night. He shared a picture of the concert’s poster, which read “2016. 04. 02. 20:00” on the bottom, indicating the day and time of the concert.
“Return to Beijing…” wrote Edison. “The 37th Chamber.”
The concert will be broadcasted live online.
After announcing his “indefinite leave” from the entertainment industry in 2008, Edison dedicated most of his time to expanding his multimedia business, CLOT. In 2010, he returned as a recording artist and music producer, releasing the Mandarin-language studio album Confusion. He released two more Mandarin albums the following year, and released a Cantonese album, 3 Corners II, in 2015. He briefly returned to the Hong Kong film industry in 2014, but only to do a cameo appearance for Golden Chicken S <金雞SSS>.

I had no idea he was still attempting a comeback.
At 35, I don’t see him appealing to the younger market. And with all his scandals, I’d be surprised if he has many older fans left.
I can’t read a story about him without cringing in remembrance at his sleaziness. Not to mention, I never found him to be talented.
@sasamii
Maybe no market in Hong Kong because Edison is just mentioned in jokes nowadays but in the China the market is massive. Should easily fill seats whichever city he chooses to tour.
@sasamii totally agree. Why do people still pay $$ to see this guy is beyond me.
@happybi i really wonder too.
@sasamii
i recall that he still made appearances in china night clubs. i think there’s market for him. some guys probably worship him i can imagine.
Didn’t the Chinese say they were banning entertainers who took drugs, engaged in prostitution and immoral behavior?
@msxie0714 Wow, really? Imagine the USA imposing the same ban. Half of the entertainment industry would disappear.
What is the “37th cchamber”?
