Elaine Yiu Used to Work as a Beer Sales Rep

TVB’s new variety travelogue Roaming Siblings <兄弟姊妹去旅行> features Edwin Siu (蕭正楠), Raymond Cho (曹永廉), Nancy Wu (胡定欣), and Elaine Yiu (姚子羚). The four good friends get to explore and talk while working in a different country. In yesterday’s episode, they helped picked grapes as temporary workers at a famous vineyard and sampled delicious red wine.

While eating a meal together, Elaine shared a little bit of her past, which shocked her friends. Before entering the entertainment industry, she worked part-time as a beer sales representative, and experienced sexual harassment in which a customer had touched her butt. When Elaine told the customer she would call the police, the customer handed over his cellphone and told her to make the call. Luckily, her co-worker came to her rescue and saved her from the situation. From that encounter, Elaine always reminds females the importance of saying no!

When Edwin and Raymond teased Elaine that she was chubbier back then, she countered that many men would wait for her after work.

As well, Nancy, Edwin, and Raymond shared their past work experience. Raymond used to work at a supermarket and because there were no security cameras 30 years ago, he was able to steal some snacks when no one was looking. He shared that he gained a lot of weight during his two years of working there.

Edwin worked in the sushi industry and his favorite memory was bringing back the extra sushi home to enjoy. As for Nancy, she worked at a relative’s business as a secretary.
