Eliza Sam and Carlos Chan Celebrate End of Filming for “I Love Kowloon City”

Carlos Chan (陳家樂), Eliza Sam (岑麗香), Sherming Yiu (姚樂怡), and Pierre Ngo (敖嘉年) attended a dinner event to celebrate the end of filming for HOY TV drama I Love Kowloon City <我愛九龍城>.

Carlos and Eliza shared their most unforgettable scene was in the mahjong parlor because she did not know how to play the game. It made filming “mistakes” seamless, however Pierre and Tyson were also not very knowledgeable in mahjong and Carlos needed to act as a coach. When asked if he would take part in a sequel, Carlos would if given the chance but hoped it would focus on different stories as Hong Kong has many unique areas such as Sham Sui Po.

During filming, Carlos and Eliza talked about their respective children. Since Carlos’ daughter will be five months old, he has been discussing schools with Eliza. The actress suggested he needed to start planning for his daughter’s education now.

“After she said this, I felt so much pressure. I now know that you need to start searching for schools when your child is only a few months old. It’s pretty scary–it turns out there’s a chance you won’t get admitted into certain schools if you apply late. I don’t want my daughter to have to study at specific schools, but still want a choice and pave the path for her,” Carlos said.

Eliza shared that her children were especially needy while she was filming. She asked her husband whether it was especially hard for him during this period of time and he joked that it felt like he became a single father.

With Grace Wong (王君馨) announcing her pregnancy, Eliza remembers they had met for dinner while she was still filming and Grace suddenly walked over, grabbed her hand and placed it over her belly. “Immediately, I knew what was happening and was really happy. Every time she has a question in our group chat, we immediately reply letting her know which doctor or products are good.” Reporters asked if she knew the gender yet, Eliza did not dare to respond and has no comment.
