Evergreen Mak Teaches King Kong How to Propose: “Get Her Pregnant”
At an event promoting their newest ViuTV travel program, C9 Tour Group <C9旅行團>, Hong Kong actor Evergreen Mak (麥長青) shares tips on how King Kong (金剛) can propose to his girlfriend, Taiwanese actress Nana Liang (梁云菲). Evergreen thinks there is a surefire way that King Kong can get Nana to marry him, “Just get her pregnant!”
Three-Second Trick to Easy Proposal
When asked if he has met King Kong’s girlfriend yet, Evergreen said that they were all supposed to grab dinner together, but there was no time in their filming schedules for C9 Tour Group. Publicly announcing dating Nana this April, King Kong said he has plans to tie the knot next year.
Giving King Kong an easy trick to proposing to his girlfriend, Evergreen laughed, “His girlfriend said she would only say yes if she were shocked to tears. It’s simple, just make sure she gets pregnant, at least that’s what I did. The two lines on the pregnancy test is the best surprise. Afterwards, jokingly tell her you won’t marry her – is that not surprising enough to make her cry?” King Kong laughed and said, “Okay, then I’ll be done in three seconds!”
Prior to dating Nana, King Kong’s previous relationship with singer Yuri Chan (陳蕊蕊) lasted 13 years. However, they broke up in 2016 citing personality differences. After the breakup, King Kong remained single and didn’t publicly share details about his dating life until meeting Nana.
New Travel Program with Housewives
In their new travel program C9 Tour Group, Evergreen and King Kong team up with a group of housewives who are over the age of 40 while traveling through Taipei and Yilan, experiencing what the two cities have to offer. Fitting in perfectly with the housewives, the two actors complimented them on their bravery when faced with difficult challenges such as paragliding.
Having a fear of heights, Evergreen said he had to opt out of any height-related activities. He sighed, “I would feel suffocated even when I’m just riding the roller coasters.” When asked what he wants to do most when going on vacation, Evergreen said, “A luxury cruise as well as scuba diving.”
