Fala Chen Gives Update on Her New Married Life

Fala Chen (陳法拉) returned to Hong Kong recently to shoot for a beauty product advertisement. Getting married in Paris in May, the actress is enjoying married life despite their frequent separation. Her husband Emmanuel Straschnov understands this is inevitable due to the nature of Fala’s work and helps relieves her stress at times.

Returning to work almost immediately after marriage, Fala doesn’t see her husband often but the couple learned how to manage. “Since we met until now, we would Whatsapp or video call each other. Sometimes, it’s good to give each other some space to do what we like, and then get together to share about it.”

Fala Shares Beauty Secrets

The 37-year-old still has the glow of a new bride. Fala attributes this to her careful skincare regimen.

Fala revealed her first secret is the daily use of essence. “It can nourish the skin and make it glow, as it is highly absorbent. Since it’s small in size, it’s convenient to take out every day.”

Her second secret is to regular use of sunscreen. She makes sure to put it on every day and often tries to work in the shade to avoid spots and wrinkles.

Fala’s third secret lies within the importance of having a balanced work life. She stressed, “Treat yourself better. Use good skincare products to make oneself look beautiful and confident.”

Just like everyday life, the actress also shares her skincare tips with her husband. Emmanuel is also interested in skincare and would sometimes steals her products to use on himself. But he isn’t that skilled, so Fala would give him suitable products to try out.

    1. I actually saw her last month as we were waiting for tables at a restaurant in NYC and she looked a decade younger than her age; and she looked like she hardly had any makeup on.

it’s not usual for people to look decade(s) younger than actual age with make up even for ordinary people. what i am saying is no need for all that regimen if you could do away w/ none.

  1. I agree with the regular use of sunscreen, as well as a good work-life balance being conducive to great skin, but those are hardly “secrets”.

All those elaborate skincare regimens and essence/serum products are mostly marketing gimmicks (read: scams), though. Essence is essentially watered down moisturizer, and is no more or less “absorbent” than what beauty companies would have you believe.
