Fala Chen is in London for Work
Despite the risky decision to leave her A-list status at TVB to pursue further education in New York and seek out international filming opportunities, Fala Chen’s (陳法拉) sacrifices paid off. Since graduating from the prestigious The Juilliard School, Fala has received many opportunities to partake in various projects, including the HBO miniseries The Undoing as well as Marvel’s Shang-Chi and the Legend of the Ten Rings.
With the movie opening in theaters on September 3, the latest trailer clip reveals that Fala will be portraying Wenwu’s wife and Shang-Chi’s mother. Although her casting was known since May 2020, no details about her character were leaked until the recent trailer release.
Travels the World for Filming Projects
After filming Shang-Chi, Fala and her husband Emmanuel Straschnov welcomed the birth of their daughter nicknamed “Little Minnie“ in February. Despite becoming a mother, Fala has not slowed down her career and work has picked up steadily again for her.
Currently residing in the United States, Fala resumed work merely two months postpartum. Maintaining a work-life balance, yet keeping herself busy, Fala has been flying all over the world for filming. In April, she uploaded a photo of herself traveling on a plane with her daughter for work. In May, Fala made a special trip back to France in order to spend Mother’s Day with her husband, Emmanuel. In June, Fala uploaded several photos and shared that she is now headed to London.
In one of the photos, Fala posed in front of the Harold Pinter Theatre. In another, the blue sky and white clouds were in the background. Fala wrote, “Being an introvert, I was sure I would love being in quarantine. Well, I was WRONG. I love blue sky more.” With the hashtags “worklife” and “actorslife” accompanying the photo, it appears that Fala is currently in London for work purposes.

Yup and to think she wanted to win an Oscars… sigh… some just dream too high…
i think it must be hard being an actress/actor’s other half, they are always not around and you don’t like when you will see them again. it’s almost like the military.
Lol she looks no more older than Shang Chi himself, let alone to be his mother. What a terrible cast to be honest.
