Felix Wong is Deeply Moved by Michael Miu’s Friendship
After 40 years of marriage, Felix Wong’s (黃日華) wife Leung Kit Wah (梁潔華) passed away after a seven-year battle with leukemia. Though he knew this day would come, Felix still found it very hard to cope with his wife’s passing and would often dwell in his sorrows, even locking himself in the bathroom and “waiting to die”. Fortunately, Felix’s close friends such as Michael Miu (苗僑偉) helped him adjust to his loss and find a healthier way to mourn his wife’s passing.
In the latest episode of TVB talk show Bong, Bong, Amigo! <諸朋好友>, Felix expressed exactly how grateful he is to have Michael in his life. Friends for 40 years after meeting in TVB’s 9th Artiste Training Class, Felix and Michael were both quickly promoted to leading actors and experienced many highs and lows over the years.
They reminisced that they once pretended to be penguins at a TVB awards ceremony and practiced together for two months before a variety show with the rest of the Five Tigers. Michael said, “I remember that one time during training, I accidentally fell on Andy Lau (劉德華) and he nearly bit off his tongue! His tongue was bit through halfway, but it was because of this he became a singer.”
Michael’s humor and positivity have always been valued by Felix, who is grateful Michael helped him through the initial dark days after Leung Kit Wah’s death. Felix said gratefully, “Michael supported me during a time when I was most lost and helpless. When he heard that my wife had passed, he immediately asked if I was okay. Over the next few months, he would often call in the morning to ask if I wanted to have breakfast or go eat dim sum together. He spent time with me, trying to release me from my sorrow.
“During my wife’s funeral, Michael came and took care of many tasks. He also helped find a final resting spot for my wife, so I am very thankful for him. You don’t need to say much, a brother will always support you. I feel that you can’t buy these things even if you have money.”
Men often do not like to get too emotional over friendship, but Michael reassured Felix that he would always be by his side.

Healing After Wife’s Death: Felix Wong Meets Up with Soccer Friends
I love and admire Felix and Michael’s friendship. I’m glad they find genuine friendship in the entertainment industry. I hope to see Felix in a drama or movie. But, I know he needs time to heal since he and his wife had been married for a long time.
Beautiful:)
A good spouse and a good friend ….both things are what makes me very happy in life.
Michael needs to convince Felix to shoot another drama with him, their chemistry while filming is on point!
A class, 2 of my favourite actors from the eighties. It is wonderful for both to have such genuine friendship in the entertainment in such a cut throat industry. A testament to both their characters. Love always.
Mad respect for both individuals, love seeing the genuine friendship between the two.
Love the nickname for Kent Tong ha ha, chicken soup.
When he was talking about how Michael supported him through his wife’s death, it made me cry. So touching and what a great friendship.
@tt23
Yes and they are pretty much like brothers. Very touching indeed.
They are just so awesome. I grew up watching them. I do wish they can work together again. Please, also add in other actresses from the 80’s.
