Filming “Dead Wrong” Made Vincent Wong Feel Like a Superhero
That last five months haven’t been easy for Vincent Wong (王浩信), who took on his most action-packed role yet for the new TVB television drama Dead Wrong <致命復活>.
The show, produced by Lam Chi-wah (林志華), stars Vincent and Roger Kwok (郭晉安) as two doctors who were kidnapped and imprisoned in Vietnam. Vincent was rescued, but Roger remained contained for another ten years. Their imprisonment left behind psychological scars, giving them PTSD.
Last month, Vincent was spotted shooting an action scene in Tai Kok Tsui. The scene was about him hanging down from a banner six stories off the ground, and then jumping off from a truck.
Despite an earlier accident, Vincent insisted to do his own wire stunt. The entire scene took over five hours to complete.
In a later interview with the reporters who visited the set, Vincent remarked that his role in Dead Wrong is his one of his most action-packed roles to-date. He had lost five pounds since he first started shooting the series earlier this year.
Interestingly, his action role in Dead Wrong helped Vincent overcome his fear of heights. “I’ve never hung this high up before,” said Vincent. “Even if I was scared of heights, I no longer felt anything while hanging up there. I felt like I was doing a superhero film. I felt like I could really fly at any moment. The feeling is surreal!”
Currently enjoying great popularity from his role “Ditch” in the sci-fi action drama Over Run Over <EU超時任務>, Vincent said, “More people are calling me Ditch now than my real name, which does make me really happy. At least I know my character is unforgettable to them.” He admitted that he received a lot more job offers after the success of Over Run Over, revealing that he just completed two commercial films.
After completing Dead Wrong, Vincent will take a brief rest and then head back to work for a new TVB production with Natalie Tong (唐詩詠). Revealing that filming starts in June, Vincent said they plan to shoot the new drama on location in Mainland China and Taiwan.

Oh Gosh! I hope TVb takes the correct safety protocols this time so Vincent doesn’t get injured like last time. However, the tidbits about the series “Dead Wrong” does make me anticipate it more. Can’t wait.
Want to watch this drama. Sound interesting.
