Frankie Lam Announces ATV to Pass Out 200,000 Face Masks
The coronavirus outbreak has kept everyone on edge these past few months. To prevent potential risks of being infected, many Hong Kongers have become more diligent about practicing good hygiene and adopting preventative measures against the pandemic.
Similar to how influenza and other respiratory pathogens spread, this specific coronavirus, known as the 2019 Novel Coronavirus (2019-nCoV), is spread through person-to-person contact. Infection is mainly through respiratory droplets produced when an infected person coughs or sneezes.
As the new vice president of the ATV television station, Frankie Lam (林文龍) has purchased 200,000 face masks to be passed out to Hong Kong citizens. While attending a Lunar New Year event yesterday, Frankie was also wearing a face mask the entire time. The 52 year old announced that the company has a slew of new productions and projects in the coming year and that it would take approximately four months to properly prepare for pushing out these new projects. Frankie shared that they will have good news to announce by the end of June.
In the meantime, however, Frankie has cancelled all other events and appearances in order to spend time with family and keep safe from the outbreak. He took the opportunity to praise and thank his wife, Kenix Kwok (郭可盈), for managing the household during this critical time and ensuring that they have all the hygienic supplies they need.
