Fred Cheng Wins “2013 Sexiest Man Alive in China” Award @ JayneStars.com
This year will be remembered as Fred Cheng’s (鄭俊弘) breakout year. Fred has been in the entertainment industry for eleven years, and he set out to make his name wider known by competing in talent show, The Voice: Stars’ Legend <星夢傳奇>. His popularity rose dramatically after he won first place and landed a music contract under TVB’s new music label. Aside from a promising music career ahead, Fred continues to take on more prominent roles in television dramas.
In Stars’ Legend, 30-year-old Fred revealed his earnest, passionate, and dedicated character. When Fred cried on stage, viewers cheered and hoped he will finally find success after a struggling early career. Although he possesses a youthful face, Fred’s music talent, athletic prowess, and emotive eyes won fans’ hearts and helped him win the “2013 Sexiest Man Alive in China Award” at JayneStars.com. With 5,483 votes, Fred received 22 percent of total votes.
Last year’s Sexiest Man Alive in China winner, Ruco Chan (陳展鵬), came in as first runner-up with 3,917 votes or 16 percent of total votes. Ruco’s acting talent and onscreen intensity continues to make him a favorite and future Best Actor material. Ruco’s intimate scenes in Brother’s Keeper <巨輪> were a first in his career, leaving many eager to see more of his uninhibited performance.
Second runner-up, Wallace Chung, (鍾漢良) received 3,132 votes or 13 percent of total votes. Since the 39-year-old Hong Kong native expanded his career to Taiwan in the 1990s and China in the 2000s, Wallace’s popularity has only grown. This year, Wallace’s performances strayed away from his trademark “beautiful man” roles to more mature film and television characters such as Qiao Feng in Demi- Gods and Semi-Devils <天龍八部>, adding to his sex appeal with viewers.

My wife and I have been very blessed in our lives. We have also lived thuorgh very tight times ( I. E., blood donations.) We have always felt the love if others. Many times, we picked up the bill for another at a resturant. Other times we paid for another’s groceries. Another time we put together a baby shower for a lady we never met who left an abusive home. Instead of money, we gave a man in the rain a sleeping bag, a coat, and accessories along with a gift card for a meal at Denny’s. When my wife ad I ran into financial issues, we were blessed by people who remained anonymous with a $500 gift card twice. We always asked why. We had a very hard time accepting. Why us? And Ruco and Fred does get favourable reports in Jaynestars but then again their general appeal lies in the fact that these 2 have very little scandal. Ruco won for 2 years in a row. Surely not just teens voting for him. So what Jaynestars represents is 2 polar opposites; teens for youthful Fred and mature women for older Ruco. That basically covers all ages actually.

Hi folks, it’s a small thing, but i thought i would share.I was at Costco in the mildde of the day, with time to spare. How rare!I noticed that the two folks behind me were each holding a single item. Well, no problem. I asked each of them if they would like to go ahead of me, and what do you know they did!Since the checkout crew at Costco are a well-oiled team, it only took an extra 3 minutes out of my day, and made those customers pretty happy.Pay It Forward!

The type of physician I would like to work for is a Pediatrician. Pediatrician’s salicpety is to work with children. I have been working with children for a long time mainly because I work at a daycare facility. I’ve got to a point where I feel like I can handle anything that will come my way with them. It would also leave me feeling good at the end of the day to know that I have helped in some way to make a child feel better.The type of physician I would not care to work for is a Epidemiologist. Epidemiologist’s specialize in epidemics caused by infections agents and also work with sexually transmitted diseases. I feel if I were to work in this type of salicpety I would be putting my self at risk of exposure to these infectious agents. Also I would be focusing a lot of my time on trying to not get infected instead of having a steady mind on what I was actually supposed to be doing.

I know right… I only remember him from meteor gardens. Apparently he has a rabid following in China, where he is now based. He acts as the Prince Charming or sexy antagonist in their dramas, and has since gained a large following. I don’t really find him sexy. I prefer more testosterone in men.

The votes came from across USA, Canada, Hong Kong, etc. Fred’s fans were very dedicated in spreading the word across Baidu, Facebook, Weibo and other social networks to rally votes for the poll, thus the enthusiastic number of voters.

1) now is holiday season, where do you get All the students?
2) I teach in high school/upper secondary school where most are 16-20 years old , do you think you can tell All these students to vote for u, even for a single day? if u do think so, I think you havent reach their age yet. they’ll rebel you and purposely vote against you 🙂
3) I mentioned I shared this website for voting to some of my favourite students. And that there are about 300 students in my school. I also mentioned that during 《 voice of stars/legend of the stars 》, they are 160k of voters for fred (who vote only once in that show) in Hong Kong. The reason I mentioned in that posts about these numbers was replying to earlier accusations about spamming of votes, replying to accusations that unbelievable that there are so many total votes compared to last year albeit a shorter voting period this year. I mentioned 300, 160k is not to boast or shiw iff but just to remind n reply to those accusations that if we take a small percentage of these, times ten days (or is it 12 voting days), a small percentage do increase overall number of votes. btw, when I share with few of my students (3-8) and they in turn share with their friends (300 or more) n post in facebooks, some would vite only for a day while some vote for few days only. some will vote even for ruco n wallace. this too increase ruco’s overall number of votes compared to last year. admittedly, ruco is sexy too in his own way, in the eyes of his fans. I just want to say here that when I promote to some favourite students, and they promote to their friends and parents (parents now are friends at children’s facebook right), and they the parents share with their colleagues and other friends who vote once or twice, that’s how a video/website goes viral right? from your language, I assume those teacher-bashing with “nothing better to do” can understand what is the concept of viral video or fb posting right?

To me, all on those who made the lists are sexy. all are winners. this year fred wins the award not because he has the most fan base, definitely not ,
but because he has fans do care for him to drop by and vote every single day at the precise time allowed for vote and promote him to family and friends.

It’s your own fault that whoever you think is sexiest don’t win because you and the rest of his supporters don’t give effort to vote and don’t have strong teamwork.

I was stating my opinion and if you can’t live with someone else’s opinion, then you shouldn’t read the comments or only read those that praise your idol, it’s that simple. No need to bring my family into the picture cos you don’t know me personally. My opinion remains as such and no amount of tantrum throwing by you all is going to change my mind. You can’t classify preferences by age. My aunt is 36 yr old married OL and still fangirling Kpop boybands with her office mates who are all married and age 35-40. They also worship and think kpop stars such as Lee Min ho, Kim Hyung Joon, Jang Kuen Suk are sexy and beautiful
And you know my 15 year old cousin instead think men in their 30s Nic Tse, Bosco Wong are sexy and loathed Justin Beiber and think Kpop too mainstream. See it’s all about different preference. I’m young myself but it doesn’t mean Fred only got support from teenagers!

He won the cutest/popular man in HK more like it (mostly understanding/speaking English voters). I think very few people from China or Taiwan voted for him.
If u have watched Fred sang at the recent Malaysia TVB Awards or MAMA show or Anita Mui s 10yrs Anniversary show or HK Gas Company Dinner show,, you will know why his fans think him sexy. His moves, his charisma, even his eyes exude the sexiest appeal. After watching the above, he definitely deserves the win. He is a man of 30, definitely not a boy. Infact, he is very versatile, he.can look cute, sweet, handsome young man n a sexy man as well. When he wears a singlet, you can also see he has a good body with nice muscles n proportionate. He has multi looks, with glasses n without can also make him look very different. Hence he is very unique.
I think Fred Cheng looks cute more than sexy. Anyway it is good for Fred to get popular after struggling in TVB for so many years.
I think he looks cute too, not my cup of tea BUT like I said, the are many who finds him sexy. Or rather fans voted for him because they like him, love him, adore him but there are fans who don’t really think their idols as sexy.

A lot of people is commenting on the fact that Fred is cute but not sexy. I find that to be quite amusing. To me sexy is not just about looks and body. A sexy man also needs to display confidence, charm and humbleness. This is one area where we Fred exceeds even tho his looks are boyish. Just my two cents 😉

At first glance, U would think Fred Cheng just looks cute but if u can take a second and a third look at a few of his performances on stage (especially when he plays guitar), he definitely looks sexy, too!!
