Full Episodes of “Legend of Miyue” Leaked Online
Entire full episodes of the Chinese historical drama Legend of Miyue <芈月传> were leaked by online thieves this week. Hundreds to thousands of download links were being spread across Weibo and other social media sites. Production company Dongyang Huaer Entertainment Media has released a statement concerning the leak, swearing to take legal action to protect their interests.
Legend of Miyue, a historical fiction period drama about the rise of Empress Dowager Xuan in the Warring States period of Ancient China, features most of the same production crew from the 2012 hit drama The Legend of Zhen Huan <甄嬛传>, with Zheng Xiaolong (郑晓龙) returning to direct and Sun Li (孙俪) starring as the lead role.
Produced at 81 episodes, Legend of Miyue premiered in Mainland China on November 30, 2015 for select channels and online streaming sites. This week, full unedited episodes of the series were being leaked online, prompting the production studio to release an official statement about taking legal action on the perpetuators. According to Beijing Daily, each leaked episode had digital watermarks on the top corner, which is normally used in post-production.
As specified in Dongyang Huaer’s official statement, the episode leaks are currently being actively investigated by the police. The statement also urged netizens and viewers to not spread the illegal sources and asked for help in fighting against illegal behavior.
Legend of Miyue is currently showing on China’s Dragon Television and Beijing Television to popular success. Online platforms such as LeTV and Tencent are also broadcasting it.
The series stars Sun Li as the titular protagonist Miyue, the daughter of King Wei of Chu (Winston Chao) during the Warring States period. She marries King Huiwen of Qin (Alex Fong Chun Sun) and eventually becomes one of the most powerful regent leaders of Qin.

Just like most chinese dramas, all very very long. i learned it the hard way to not watch any chinese drama no matter how good they say it is cause i will never finish.

81 episodes is too long.
81 eps is fine. I’m up to ep 48 and i enjoy this series. While it may not be everyone’s cup of tea, it is a good production. As for the pirates, they are selling the episodes for $10 and the ads are everywhere. Its quite annoying to get all these private messages.

I’m watching it through tvpad and xiaomi tv box which connects to the dong fang channel. Tvpad is probably going to die on 1st jan but xiaomi tv box should be fine.

@orchid123 if you can read chinese, you can try letv who is the sole online distributor. It might not work depending on restricted access for some countries. I know tvpad 4 can still access video on demand or the chinese series ap but tvpad 1-3 are dead save for tvb series.
If I could stand “The Gem OF Life”, it’s 82 episodes long, then 81 episode of “Legend of Miyue” is not a problem for me. I just hope its as good as Legend of Zhen Huan. As I always hope Legend of Zhen Huan is longer.
