G.E.M. is Dating Her Stylist
G.E.M. (鄧紫棋) has a new man in her life, and he’s quite a catch!
The 25-year-old pop singer, who broke up with Taiwanese singer Yoga Lin (林宥嘉) in 2014, was recently spotted in Japan holding hands with a young man. He was later identified as Mark Ngai, G.E.M.’s new stylist.
Mark is the grandson of Chris Wong (王國旌), Rosamund Kwan’s (關之琳) first husband, and the son of Jannice, a close friend of Four Seas Mercantile heiress Kennis Tai (戴凱欣).
Rumors of G.E.M. dating her stylist has been going on since as early as January 2016. Because Mark was still known to be dating singer JW (王灝兒) at the time, G.E.M. was accused for being the third party in their relationship. Whether or not the speculations were true, JW announced soon after that she is single, and that Mark had only been a friend. JW also defended G.E.M., saying, “I don’t think [they’re] dating, but we are all friends. However, because Mark is not of this industry, I don’t think I should comment on his private life.”
Last October, JW was photographed with Tarzan Ip (葉韋彤), the heir of a HK$1.2 billion cosmetics business, putting a stop to speculations. Around the same time the news broke, Mark went on social media to subtly criticize his former love’s obsession with money.
Mark himself actually comes from a background of wealth and fame. His great great grandfather Wong Kai-yu (王啟宇) was a transformative figure in the Hong Kong textile industry, and his great aunt, Wong Pui-kei (王培琪) is the wife of Frederick Ma (馬時亨), chairman of the MTR Corporation.

I thought I had seen my share of funny names assumed by HK’ers but kept being humorously surprised.
@aiya Lol. IKR? Well at least these are nicknames or stage names. I once worked with a Strawberry (first name) and a Cinnamon (middle name). These are their official names, written in stone on their birth certificates. They’re both white Americans. Lol.
