Ghost Writer to Follow-up with Sequel
Steven Ma Chun Wai, Linda Chung Ka Yan, and Fala Chen attended a party to celebrate the stellar ratings of Ghost Writer <蒲松齡>. Producer, Leung Choi Yuen, announced that a sequel will be filmed next year. The original cast of Ghost Writer will be featured in the new series. A theatrical version of Ghost Writer will also be created.
During the filming of Ghost Writer, Linda Chung had insomnia. As a result, she does not wish to play a ghost in the sequel nor theatrical version.

I’m not keen on another Steven-Linda pairing – has been done to death.
It can’t be helped because personally, I think Linda has the best chemistry with Steven, more so than any of her other male co-stars. Most likely because he was the first one she worked with, so they know each other very well.
LCY says sequel, but “sequel” in TVB language these days are sometimes spin-offs. Having not finished the series myself, I’ve heard the ending is really solid already. Thus, a sequel would be illogical. Hence, we can’t exactly conclude that until LCY reveals more information. It could be a “sequel” with different characters in the same time period and similar supernatural/fantasy setting. 😛
perhaps this time, fala shall be the first lead actress? her popularity seems to be exceeding linda chung’s!
and i admire fala’s acting more! since her performance in Moonlight Resonance (:
^ I support this. Fala is more popular than Linda now and can act better. She should have chance to be first lead too and its annoying to repeat the same couple pair again and again
Steven and Linda’s chemistry throughout the years in series, I believe is the best and feels the most natural to me. I’m starting to see Fala improve on her acting, but I still see her as Steven’s younger sister or what not.
I do agree with Tommy. Fala has been improved a lot in her acting but as a supporting not lead role. I don’t think she is up to par yet.
TVB can promote her like Myolie. I used to like her when she was in less important role but when she started to get the lead roll she failed tremendously.
I don’t agree with others say they annoying when Steven and Linda are in as a couple. Don’t they see the chemistry between the two of them so connected that why the series seem real instead of just a drama. That why they get the high rating.
I rather see them together again in other series than watching the couples who play couple but they boring because they are not well connected as a couple suppose to be.
From how I read it, it seems it is a spin off? Since a sequel should have original staff and the fact that they say retaining original staff seems to suggest it is more a spin off than a direct sequel.
Whoever says Linda and Steven has annoying chemistry is blind.

As for me I don’t think they’re “annoying”, but they definitely not my cup of tea probably since Steven and Linda’s acting aren’t my cup of tea too haha.

Fala is a good actress, she has improved a lot over the few years. I personally like Linda, too. Not sure who’s better, I like to think that they are both great. And I think that Linda and Raymond have the best chemistry, although Steven and Linda also have good chemistry <3
Fala is a good actress, she has improved on her language, acting over the few years. Linda has been popular over a few dramas like Yes sir sorry sir. Fala’s latest drama ” LInks to temptation” s theme song is a hit in YOutube, but she has been criticized of how CHEAP it is for poledancing.
I personally think she has no choice but to follow the director’s script and orders.
