Gigi Leung Gives Birth to Baby Girl

Gigi Leung (梁詠琪) gave birth to a baby girl on February 28. Although the baby was due in mid-March, her little angel arrived several weeks earlier than expected.

Gigi excitedly shared pictures of her daughter online and wrote, “All along, I’ve only felt you moving around in my tummy. Today, I can finally hold you and actually feel your weight in my arms. Seeing your easy smile makes all the pain worthwhile.”

Netizens pointed out that the beautiful baby girl possessed Gigi’s large, round eyes and father Sergio Crespo Gutes’ tall nose.

Many of Gigi’s close friends also posted messages to congratulate the couple. Charlie Yeung (楊采妮) wrote, “A little angel has come to earth and brought Gigi, her husband, and many of their friends and families unlimited happiness and joy! Having known each other for 20 years and witnessing Gigi become a mother today is beyond words. It is all in the heart. May God continue to bless you, my dear.”

The baby’s godmother, Angelica Lee (李心潔), wrote, “The entire process of witnessing Gigi go through ten months of pregnancy with strength and positivity until the birth of the child is extremely touching. Welcome, little angel. Godmother will use the most genuine and warmest love to protect you.”

Since getting married in 2011, Gigi has tried to conceive for a long time. Thrilled to find out she was pregnant last year, the 38-year-old actress significantly reduced her workload to focus on her health. After celebrating the Lunar New Year, she prepared the baby room and anticipated the arrival of her daughter.

Gigi’s husband Sergio accompanied her throughout the delivery process and will be home to help out. Although exhausted from childbirth, Gigi will be nursing her newborn daughter.
