Gin Lee Returns to Malaysia to Promote New Record
Gin Lee (李幸倪) returned to her home country of Malaysia to promote her Mandarin language album Ukiyo-e <浮世繪>. It was a hectic four-day nation-wide tour, with three album singing events in Penang, Malacca, and Kuala Lumpur. But for Gin, it’s always good to be back home.
It’s been six years since Gin held her last album signing event in Penang, and three years since her last trip to Malacca. Aside from celebrating the release of her new album, she also celebrated Mid-Autumn Festival with the fans. The Malaysian album tour had fans from all over, including Hong Kong and Singapore.
Over a hundred fans of all ages, including one as young as 7, welcomed Gin to Kuala Lumpur, the last stop of her tour. Gin was emotional when she greeted the fans.
“My trip back to Malaysia this time has been very special,” she said. “It reminds me of the days when I used to run all around the country to promote my music. This time, I get to see fans from all over, and also get to see many familiar faces again. There are old fans and new ones. It’s like a reunion. I’m really happy.”
