Godfrey Gao Says Watches Are Like Men’s Jewelry

Taiwanese-Canadian actor Godfrey Gao (高以翔) recently went to Hong Kong to attend an event for a luxury watch brand. The 31-year-old said he collects luxury watches as a hobby, expressing that they are good investments.

What is the most expensive watch he purchased? Godfrey said, “Definitely not in the millions, but very close to it. A wrist watch is like jewelry for men. I consider it as a worthy investment.”

Asking if Godfrey is interested in investing in real estate, he said, “I believe many people would want to, but it really depends on the location. It is a great investment. I’ve purchased estates in Taiwan and Vancouver.”

What about Hong Kong? Godfrey smiled, “I’m definitely considering Hong Kong as well. I would love to have a home in Hong Kong, but to do that, it really depends on time. I have to do more research on the market first.”

Is Godfrey interested in purchasing other homes around the world? Godfrey laughed, “Am I dreaming? Well, I’m going to target the important places first. I’m interested in buying homes in Hong Kong, Shanghai, and Beijing.”

Joking that Godfrey sounds like a “good deal” himself, he laughed, “Definitely. I’m a safe investment too.”
