Grace Chan Easily Earns Milk Money After Giving Birth

In February, Grace Chan (陳凱琳) and Kevin Cheng (鄭嘉穎) welcomed their son Rafael (鄭承悅) into the family. After 13 days of giving birth, Grace ignored the traditional Chinese practice of postpartum confinement and attended various brand promotions, easily earning $10 million HKD for the family.

Grace has always wanted to keep working even after having a baby. With help at home from her parents, in-laws, and hired help, Grace was able to quickly recover and get back in shape. As a new mom, Grace’s market became larger and now attends baby-related brand promotions as well.

Rafael Brings Grace Good Luck

Since Grace’s debut in 2013 after winning Miss Hong Kong, she has been heavily promoted by TVB with countless job offers and filming opportunities. After becoming a wife and a mom, her luck has grown with even more commercial offers. She recently filmed a commercial alongside Ali Lee (李佳芯) and Eliza Sam (岑麗香) earning $1 million HKD, and easily making over $100,000 HKD for promotional event appearances. She believes her husband and her son bring her good luck.

Relationship with Kevin After Having a Baby

Like all new parents, Grace and Kevin are anxious because they want to give Rafael the best. The couple works hard together to split up the tasks at the home. They also made an agreement that their son comes first so the couple must compromise in their work schedule around Rafael.

Though she misses acting a lot, Grace does not want to miss Rafael’s growth. Grace is willing to postpone filming new dramas. She shared, “My baby is the most important. Kevin and I are trying to avoid work that makes us leave Hong Kong. The company has been very flexible after I gave birth. I want to spend more time with my child first. I have a huge passion for acting, and I know I will continue to expand in the field later on.”
