Grace Chan Reveals Her High School Portrait: No Plastic Surgery
Former beauty queens Grace Chan (陳凱琳), Sisley Choi (蔡思貝), and more, recently went back to their respective hometowns to film the TVB reality show A Starry Homecoming <星星探親團>. Grace, winner of the 2013 Miss Hong Kong Pageant, went back to Vancouver, Canada, where she attended high school and university. Sisley, 2013’s runner-up, visited her high school in New Zealand.
At a press conference for the show, Grace and Sisley recalled their experiences while visiting their hometown. Grace said her schoolteachers were surprised that she decided to pursue a career in entertainment, as Grace was always known to be a quiet and unassuming student. “Most people just remembered me as Deric’s [Grace’s younger twin brother] sister, so they were all surprised that I was the one who decided to join the industry.”
Earlier, Grace shared a school portrait of her when she was in high school. She said, “A lot of people would look at older pictures and wonder if I did plastic surgery. I did have braces, so that picture showed how I looked like before I had braces. I didn’t get braces until I was in college.”
Sisley, on the other hand, went back to her old high school in New Zealand. “It got me very emotional,” she said when she visited her old campus. “We filmed the episode while I was wearing my old uniform. Some teachers even remembered me. I was the leader of an art club so I was in charge of many events.”

She looks bigger back then? Or is it angle? No one ever said she had plastic surgery. The dispute or rather question is her ethnicity. It seems she may have lightened her skin now. A pity.
@funnlim You mean based on the two photos in this article? Photographers use whatever color scheme and brightness they want as they’re developing their photos. In the current photo, it’s obvious the lighting and flash made her look really bright and white.
A lot of actors and actresses were well known to be unassuming, not noticeable and quiet during school days. A few were popular or loud but many were quiet and sat by the corner. The loud ones usually became politicians!!
Grace only had a slight rhinoplasty shave done on her nose, nothing else was done.
Well, no doubt she is a pretty lady. Her brother looks handsome too. Lucky genes!
She looked better previously. Now she’s just a rack of bones.

She look about the same except maybe a bit darker. She really does loom mix to me. Like Chinese with spanish or Indian.
