Grace Wong Starts Planning Her Wedding

Last year was a breakout year for Grace Wong (王君馨). Winning the TVB Most Popular Female Character and getting engaged to her longtime boyfriend Daniel, Grace looks forward to exciting developments ahead in her professional and personal life.

Although Grace and Daniel have applied for their marriage license, the 30-year-old actress revealed that a lot of planning still needs to be done for the wedding celebrations that will take place in both Hong Kong and the United States.

Busy with filming new series, Time Traveling Officials <超時空男臣>, Grace said she will begin wedding planning with Daniel after he comes to Hong Kong after Lunar New Year.

Grace expressed, “There are too many things to plan and it can’t be hurried – please give me some time. We may register [our marriage] first. Even if we’re legally married on paper, we’ll respect the traditions of a wedding ceremony and say my vows in front of my family and God since we’re Christian. Only at that moment, we would be officially married.”

After a successful 2016, Grace said the number of red envelopes she has been handing out have grown. Hoping to improve her acting even more in the Year of the Rooster, Grace wants to portray bolder and challenging roles.

She laughed, “When I had psychologically challenging roles before, I would be scared to go home to an empty apartment where no one would hear me complain and I might have suffered mentally. Now with someone else in the house in the future, it would be easier for me to separate myself from my character.”

As to whether or not she would be entered into the fierce TV Queen competition this year, Grace said she still has a long way before she reaches Sheren Tang‘s (鄧萃雯) level. Content with major supporting roles, Grace has been learning and gaining valuable experience while working with Kristal Tin (田蕊妮) recently.
