HANA Wins Big At JSG Selections Part 1

The 2020 J.S.G. Selections Part 1 <2020勁歌金曲優秀選第一回>, TVB’s music awards ceremony to honor the best songs for the first half of 2020, were successfully held on August 5, 2020 at TVB City. Out of the 25 songs which were selected, Voice Entertainment and TVB artistes earned 19 of them. Non-TVB affiliated winners included artistes from EEG, such as Deep Ng (吳浩康), Tsang Lok Tung (曾樂彤), and Gladys Li (李靖筠).

Voice Entertainment singer HANA (菊梓喬) was the night’s biggest winner, occupying three of the 25 selections. Her winning singles included “I Don’t Want to Lose” <我輸不起>, “If You Understand” <如果你明白>, and “I Can’t Forget About You” <我未能忘掉你>.

Songs selected in the J.S.G. Selections will automatically be nominated for the “Gold Song Award” at the year-end J.S.G. Awards Presentation <勁歌金曲頒獎典禮>, and Gold Song Award winners will run for the Gold Song Gold Award, also known as Song of the Year.

Pointing out that HANA’s likelihood of winning GSG is getting closer, the singer said, “It’s still pretty far away in my eyes. Don’t give me so much pressure! But I do think that I’ll have the chance before I retire!” HANA expressed that there have been many good songs this year, and that she’ll keep her own expectations low. “As long as you try your best,” she said.

On which song she believes would win GSG, HANA said, “There are just too many to choose from, even if you just take songs from Voice Entertainment.”
