“Happily Ever After?” Airs Finale
*Spoiler*
Despite mediocre viewership ratings due to its mature content, TVB drama Happily Ever After? <婚後事> was praised and hotly discussed due to its realistic reflection of marriage and well-rounded characters. Each of the six characters were well-developed and their complex thoughts and actions were thoroughly explored, effectively blurring the lines between right and wrong in the realm of love and relationships.
With the final episode airing on March 22, Happily Ever After? Concluded with a satisfactory ending. All three couples Yoyo Chen (陳自瑤) and Him Law (羅子溢); Lai Lok Yi (黎諾懿) and Winki Lai (賴慰玲); and Joey Law (羅天宇) and Venus Wong (王敏奕) received their own version of a happy ending.
Of particular interest was Him and Yoyo’s ending. After Him’s character was diagnosed with cancer, he finally made the decision to receive treatment. Although he would become an amputee and lose his right foot, Yoyo decided to forgive him and return to his side. Embracing tightly, both recognized and acknowledged the part they played in the initial failure of their marriage and vowed to love each other through thick and thin. Most importantly, they promised to give each other breathing space and the necessary freedom in their marriage. In one memorable scene, Yoyo promised to continue dancing and find time to pursue her own joys while she continued to care for Him.

Passed on the whole thing, as none of the casts were worthwhile to spend an hour’s time to watch an episode.
Watching the show today.suprisingly, the show has a good premise showing the same story from different pov.
I really think Winki Lai is a phenomenal actress, maybe just doesn’t have great luck with capturing a wide audience’s heart.
