Hera Chan Leads with 4 New Dramas for 2025
TVB Showcase 2025 <TVB同行創新節目巡禮2025> took place on November 1st at TVB City, with over a hundred actors turning out in full force, and the station eagerly promoting upcoming shows to potential clients.
First Look at Upcoming 2025 Dramas
Stars who dressed to impress included Wayne Lai (黎耀祥), Roger Kwok (郭晉安), Moses Chan (陳豪), Ruco Chan (陳展鵬), Shaun Tam (譚俊彥), Alice Chan (陳煒), Sisley Choi (蔡思貝), Monica Chan (陳法蓉), Katy Kung (龔嘉欣), Him Law (羅子溢), Kelly Cheung (張曦雯), Hera Chan (陳曉華), and Karl Ting (丁子朗).
The lively event featured trailers for this year’s highly anticipated dramas and variety shows, such as Golden Forest <金式森林>, Guilty of Sin* <非份之罪>, Hong Kong Exploration Map <香港探秘地圖>, Dead Certainties* <死有對證>, Detective Investigation Files 12 <刑偵12>, and The Queen of Castle <巨塔之后>, giving attendees a first look at the casts and plots.
Several dramas yet to begin filming, including Empire of Stars* <造星帝國>, City of Lights* <造星帝國>, Hero Doctor* <俠醫>, The Couple’s Game* <夫妻的博弈>, Lady of Justice Themis <正義女神>, Life Imitates Art* <模仿人生>, War of the Roses <玫瑰戰爭>, and Queen of News 2 <新聞女王2>, also sparked considerable anticipation.
Karl Ting Leads Male Actors’ Race
In terms of actors, rising actress Hera Chan (陳曉華) stood out, with a total of four unreleased series, marking her as a key talent to watch. Actress Alice Chan (陳曉華) also has three series in the pipeline!
Among the male stars, Karl Ting stands out easily with several dramas on hand, including Hong Kong Exploration Map which stars Wayne Lai, Katy Kung, Danny Hung (孔德賢) and Carmen Ngai (倪嘉雯). In addition, the 27-year-old has four other dramas yet to air. Kenneth Ma (馬國明) also has three series, and Mark Ma (馬貫東) matches him, also taking on three series, earning them top spots among TVB’s leading men.

Why is TVB promoting Hera Chan? She is such a dead-pan actress. All her facial expressions are almost the same. There is no creativity or naturalness in her acting. Another Grace Chan.

I have said this before. Hera Chan is considered a successor to Linda Chung. They are both 5’8.5” and have a good girl image. I think it’s hard for some to stomach Hera because she is more of a HK flavor versus Linda who had the Vancouver/foreigner ignorance. Hera is a model while Linda has a prettier face.
