Him Law and Kelly Cheung Kiss for Three Minutes
TVB drama, The Witness <木棘証人>, is entering its final week of broadcast and will air its ending episode on November 13. In the drama, Him Law (羅子溢) and Kelly Cheung (張曦雯) have numerous intimate scenes together, including a three-minute kiss scene in the upcoming finale.
Though their kiss is steamy, it is still less explicit than standards found in the movie industry. When asked if he is afraid that his wife Tavia Yeung (楊茜堯) would feel jealous, Him said he cannot prevent her from watching it, but the scene should be appreciated for its cinematography and mood. Asked which co-star is the best kisser, Him joked that is definitely Kelly.
On the other hand, Kelly praised Him for his professionalism. “He really knows how to lead. The scene required many different ways of kissing [to convey different moods] from passion, anger, to sadness. It definitely was a challenge for our acting skills.” While her boyfriend, entrepreneur Mark Brunjes, has been following The Witness, she feels uncomfortable to watch the kissing scene together so they will go out for dinner instead. Fortunately, her kissing scenes with Vincent Wong (王浩信) in the upcoming Legal Mavericks 2 <踩過界II> were not real and only filmed with camera angles because of the pandemic.
At The Witness promotion were also Sammi Cheung (張秀文) and Willie Wai (韋家雄). Earning praise for his standout performance, Willie bashfully thanked the scriptwriters, producers, and co-stars for helping him bring his character to life. He humbly expressed that his performance just meets the standards and that there is a lot of opportunity for improvement. Though viewers believe he will be nominated at a TVB Anniversary award, Will does not dare think about it but would be very happy with a nomination. Quipping in, Sammi gave him a boost of confidence and joked her vote will definitely go to Willie instead of Him!
