Him Law and Tavia Yeung are Dog Lovers
As a dog lover, actor Him Law (羅仲謙) shared that he enjoyed playing a guide dog trainer in the movie, Little Q <小Q>. Him shared that he started caring for his family dog when he was four years old, and now he and his wife Tavia Yeung (楊怡) are also proud dog owners.
While Him and Tavia don’t have children of their own yet, they shared that their dogs are like their babies, “They are our kids, and we love them. I have a big mixed dog while Tavia has two poodles. The two smaller dogs are aggressive to the big dog, and now they can only see each other through a glass window.”
As Him provided details of their family life, he revealed that his relationship with his dogs improved because of Tavia, “Right now, I sleep with [the dogs] and we even kiss. Tavia has a unique quirk. She likes to smell the dog’s paws. Now I would do it too. It’s interesting.”
Appreciation for Guide Dogs
After working with guide dogs, Him discovered a new appreciation for them, “Maybe I didn’t think about it during filming, but I understood more as I filmed. Other than wishing for success at the box office, I hope to awaken the public’s social responsibility and help people understand the importance of guide dogs for people with disabilities. Guide dogs are worker dogs and they are the eyes for the blind. Unfortunately, some people don’t like them.”
Because of his experience working with the guide dogs, Him would consider being a foster parent for the guide dogs, “I would really think about it. Under the right conditions, I would definitely support it, but I need to understand the conditions and if I have the time to take them to classes.”
