Him Law “Won’t Cross the Line” in Long-Distance Marriage
Attending a publicity event for TVB’s medical series Kids’ Lives Matter <星空下的仁醫>, Him Law (羅子溢) revealed that he will be heading to China for work next year, and will face a lengthy separation from his wife Tavia Yeung (楊茜堯) and their daughter, Hera.
Receiving praise for his role in Kids’ Lives Matter as a doctor who tackles substance abuse, Him is speculated to be nominated at the TVB Anniversary Awards this year. Although the series has garnered great reception, Him humbly said he does not expect any awards, and will keep an open mind.
Long-Distance Marriage
Although Him has largely filmed in Hong Kong during the pandemic, he does have lengthy filming commitments in China in 2022. Used to the separations and switching to long-distance mode, Him has a mutual understanding with his wife, Tavia.
“I’ve matured a lot since becoming a father. I’ve also gained a better sense of responsibility. My wife and I don’t really need to set promises, or make any guarantees. She trusts me completely, and I know to not cross the line. We’ll FaceTime frequently, and share our whereabouts with each other. That’s just basic responsibility,” the actor said.
However, Him is more regretful in the upcoming separation with his 18-month-old daughter Hera as she would undoubtedly forget Daddy while he is away. “I’m worried – that’s why I’m always video-calling her. She keeps calling me when she sees me. It’s unfortunate that we have to separate from time to time due to work. Everything that I’m doing now is for her future.”
When asked if he and Tavia are planning to have more children, Him said he will let nature run its course and does not want to deliberately force anything.
