How Gillian Chung Successfully Lost 19 Pounds
Engaged with Taiwanese doctor Michael Lai (賴弘國) in January, Gillian Chung (鍾欣潼) is planning for her wedding. To look her best on the big day, Gillian has been on a strict diet and rigorous exercise routine and successfully lost 19 pounds.
In 2015, Gillian suffered from constant fluctuation in her weight due to her hormones. Older photos show that Gillian had a thicker waist and rounded thighs.
Gillian made a promise to herself to start watching her diet and hoped her health would improve over time. Sharing the weight-loss tips and tricks with her fans, Gillian shared photos of what she eats and her exercise routines on Instagram.
Like most women who are trying to shed a few pounds, Gillian does a lot of cardio-vascular activities such as jogging. In her picture, Gillian ran for a total of 96 minutes, burning a total of 787 calories. She also likes to mix in strength training exercises, such as Battling Ropes as well as kickboxing. Battling Ropes have been growing increasing popular, and it was one of Nick Cheung’s (張家輝) main training method for his role in Unbeatable <激戰>. After her more strenuous activities, Gillian cools down with some yoga stretches to strengthen her core.
Going to the gym is important but watching what you put in your body is also a key factor in losing weight. Cutting out all sweets, Gillian’s photos show that she maintains a low-sodium, low-fat diet consisting of mostly steamed vegetables, fish, and lean meat. While many fans noticed that Gillian has slimmed down significantly over the last year or so, some noticed that her complexion grew brighter and healthier as well.

The tiny meals would definitely leave me hungry.
I noticed Gillian lost a lot of weight over the last year. She looks prettier and more youthful too.
Gillian’s meals are planned brilliantly. Low fat and low carbs with plenty of protein. She does not look like a natural fighter but those meals alone should be able to help her shed weight quickly since total from the 3 meals is around 1000 calories.
