Jackson Wang Talks First Solo Album “Mirrors”
Jackson Wang (王嘉爾) is in full promo mode for his debut solo album.
Mirrors, which will consist of eight tracks, is set to release in late 2019. Last week, the 25-year-old GOT7 member stopped by Shanghai to hold a music party to promote the recored.
“It was a very professional experience,” said Jackson when he was asked to share about his experience working on the album. From the album cover to the song’s selection, Jackson said every single staff member dedicated their heart and soul to the album.
Jackson himself had a hand in creating the album cover, sharing, “I designed the cover myself. There are eight mirrors, each representing a different version of myself. The middle one is me.”
The “Bullet to the Heart” singer said he also part of the music video making process, sharing, “When it comes to music videos, I have a habit of writing the script first, before I start the process of finding a director who can digest my vision.”
He told his fans, “I can’t wait for you guys to hear all eight songs.”
At a GOT7 concert in Melbourne in August, Jackson fell off stage while trying to get closer to fans. He picked himself back up quickly and continued performing, but he did sustain a minor injury.
“I’m okay though,” said Jackson. “It’s not a big deal.”
