Jacqueline Wong Hides Home; Meals Were Delivered by Sister
Jacqueline Wong‘s (黃心穎) image was tarnished beyond repair when she was caught cheating on Kenneth Ma (馬國明) with Andy Hui (許志安) last April. Jacqueline promptly fled to the United States for eight months to avoid the paparazzi, but her recent return to Hong Kong is speculated to be a last attempt to revive her career. Since her drama Handmaidens United <丫鬟大聯盟> was airing, she wanted to test the waters to see if the public would accept her again.
The actress returned on December 14 and cried out an apology, admitting her wrongdoings. First time seeing the public after the scandal broke loose, Jacqueline evidently gained weight and her face was considerably rounder than before.
However, despite being back for 35 days now, the 30-year-old actress has yet to appear at any events and chose to stay home the entire time. While refusing to leave her apartment, her meals were hand delivered to her three times a day by her elder sister, Scarlett Wong (黃心美).
With her 31st birthday coming up on January 23, Jacqueline finally stepped outside her home. Wearing a black face mask, she appeared to be much thinner and very tired. She quietly left her building and got into a minivan. When the media caught up to her to ask her about ex-boyfriend Kenneth’s TV King win, Jacqueline refused to answer and quickly left.
The actress arrived at a home department store and quietly shopped for a bit before heading off to pick up some dog food. While leaving, Jacqueline saw the reporters again and waved a quick hello before heading back up to her apartment. Before going up though, she disclosed that she will be visiting family for the upcoming Lunar New Year.

I don’t think she just wanted to visit her family. If she did, she could have done it privately instead of announcing it to the public with 10 reporters waiting for her at the airport.

the fact that reporters were at the airport, the fact she put up a show, i think she is beyond redemption.
If she had cheated on someone but Kenneth and if the person in the cab was anyone but Andy, she may have better luck reviving her career.
I wonder if Kenneth love her enough to want to continue the relationship.
@conan2209 I think she would still have luck reviving her career if she cheated on Kenneth. The main issue was Andy being in the cab. Andy has been with Sammi for so long, then finally get married, they both have so many fans. So not only is she a cheater but also a home-wrecker. I think that’s the main reason why her career is unrevivable
@tungamy based on what i heard, Kenneth is loved by many HongKongers, especially the aunties and mums.
To be honest, while Andy probably has a good fanbase, he is mainly known as Sammi’s guy.
I tot her family is in overseas…why cant her family members visit her in US. Definitely she has a motive to return to HKG. Very thick skin

Yeh. There is a real plotted ulterior motive in Jacqueline’s return and I hope the industry realises this. If trying to leave for good then like you say obviously you would avoid coming back HK at all costs and let the family come to visit you instead. This is greedy and her depressive state is only because she realises she blew it in the year which would have put her right up there on the ladder. She would have made millions in millions in years to come. There is no one with the quantity of series that she has been involved in. She realised her mistake of throwing away all this for messing with an old man…

Jacqueline realised she had ripped up her winning lottery ticket and wants to get a portion of it back. I hope she doesn’t get that chance. Seen lot of small time actors ruin their careers but throwing career away on your breakthrough year just shows how dumb she is. I hope she is forced to work a normal day job which will be torture to her but the likely scenario for this type of character is that she will pick up the near rich businessman she lays eyes on….

Very good analogy. She honestly has no shame and hoping that by hiding out for awhile that everyone will forgive and forget. She is so naive. Who does she think she is? I think you are right that now she is just trying to get back into the entertainment industry again and prey on a rich businessman so she can leech off him as her entertainment career is pretty much gone now. Why doesn’t she just work a regular job? There are good and bad times being a celebrity, but she seems to want just the good side only. She needs to wake up before she embarrasses not just herself but her family too.

It will be tough for even the average person to go from the verge of earning millions and millions of dollars to the typical average middle class salary, never mind a luxury seeking gold digger which she likely is. Her current depressive state is definitely not remorse. It is regret at throwing away her own career. She can see her series broadcasting one after another but it is torture that she can’t attend events to profit from it. Jacqueline chose this time to come back because she is running out of time. Her run of series are all coming to an end and in a few months time she will just be a forgotten nobody with zero screen time and zero demand from endorsers.

i don’t know if she is really digging for gold. she went for andy hsu, who is not exactly known to be rich but well off. she could have gone for a rich man, like a well off financial invester given her sister married into riches too. i think she was going for the passion and excitement of cheating on their partners.

People thought of this married couple as soulmates as they got back together I always thought it’s the ‘timing’ & ‘both single again after 40’ and let’s get married that sorta thing so I was not at all surprised by cheating but didn’t think he would be stupid enough to get caught like that and the wife’s so called religion into forgiving so easily. But well whatever I think for JW’s part it’s more of a thrill. When they were on that taxi although couldn’t make out what they discussed in detailed she did ask ‘ you scared ‘ She thinks it’s fun that’s all and talking English in between like AH speaks good English? A gold digger can also be immature and like you say seek for thrills which was probably the case the Andy zhui scenario. I’m sure there were reports that she was already pampered with goods far more than what she was earning previously.
@jimmyszeto I agree with your theory, because let’s not forget there were reports that her initial target was actually Andy’s boss, Sun Century’s rich and famous CEO Alvin Chau, but that dude didn’t give her the time of day (and why would he given the fact that he already has mistresses galore who are way prettier and also unattached…plus he had his own relationship headaches to deal with already), so she settled for Andy instead…I don’t doubt that there was the whole thrill and excitement thing that others mentioned, but I think her long-term intention is still to land a wealthy dude at some point.
I read some news reports today that JW actually messaged Kenneth to congratulate him on his TV King win…if those reports are true, then wow, she is definitely shameless and thick-skinned….

The Kenneth relationship was Jacqueline’s strategy to move up the entertainment industry ladder and it was working very well. There was no chance with Alvin since he already had the hottest mistress on the planet in Mandy and probably has housemaids that are far prettier than Jacqueline. Obviously, like a lot of people, she got too delusional over her level of attractiveness. With all her huge catalogue of lead series coming to an end, it was a desperate move to come back HK and hoped for some of that ‘Shirley Yeung’ type sympathy with her airport performance. The hope for some function invites and endorsers knocking on her door may have failed so the texting to Kenneth wouldn’t surprise me. In a few months time ,with no series left to broadcast and no standout performances, she will similar to all those forgotten forgotten actresses in the past. I feel she knows her only chance now to make it back would be if Kenneth takes her back or if Kenneth/Sammi to publicly release a statement for everyone to give her a chance. Otherwise it looks like goodnight to her entertainment career and she will pick up an old rich fellow to supplement her lifestyle. Apart from being gutted for losing future earnings in the millions, she probably has improved in recent series which would have increased her popularity if the scandal hadn’t happened. She will be punching walls in frustration! Kenneth will be very thankful for this lesson learnt plus all the indirect gains from this scandal…

Kenneth was actually the one who told reporters that JW messaged him, so I guess the reports are true then…he said that he messaged her back and told her to “add oil”…he also said they are still friends and he wants all his friends to do well…man, Kenneth is way too nice…

Jacqueline Wong still has one more TVB drama series to be aired soon “The Offliners” . She is the lead supporting actress in it. Katy Kung and Owen Cheung are lead artistes.
If she did not have the scandal, I think her career was doing well in TVB. Her acting was not too bad, though not amazing. Her series “Finding Her Voice” was well received, so she thought people would still accept her. There were a lot of veterans in “Finding Her Voice” , such as 鍾景輝 (Chung King Fai)、吳岱融、龔慈恩、張振朗、黃心穎、蔣志光、歐瑞偉、曾偉權、韋家雄、曾航生、鄭敬基、羅冠蘭. People watched the series not because of Jacqueline Wong, but for the veterans’ acting.
Jacqueline Wong was, in fact, the lead actress in “The Maid of Alliance”, but it was not well received, mainly due to Jacqueline’s scandal and the poor script and cast.
Jacqueline is definitely aiming to make a comeback in TVB. She has been very active in her Instagram, posting all kinds of her photos and messages.
I never liked her much even before her scandal. I did follow her developments and behaviours in the entertainment industry. Never thought highly of her personality. She liked to live a luxurious life and buying designers’ stuffs.
I still think she is a very scheming person. She used Andy Hui to help her singing career ……….. either through coaching or getting to know some big and rich guy in the music industry.

I caught a few episodes of the series here and there and to be honest, unless someone told you, probably didn’t know JW was in it because her role is very insignificant and the other actresses outshine her performance-wise…so yea, she is pretty much done for career-wise…

Forensic Heroes would have gave Jacqueline more time to hope for re-acceptance from the public but since she has been replaced she has no new material left. Her quest for fame is most likely over. Every passing day will mean she will be more forgotten. For her quest for money, there will still be plan B. Any girl with average looks can pick up a rich guy looking for partner…
