Jang Ki Yong and Hyeri in Dreamy Photo Shoot for “My Roommate is a Gumiho”

Starring Jang Ki Young and Hyeri, upcoming Korean drama My Roommate is a Gumiho is making netizens swoon over the drama’s cute romantic plot.

Based on a webtoon of the same name, the story follows Lee Dam (Hyeri) as a college student who accidentally swallows a marble containing the essence of a 900-year-old nine-tailed fox spirit commonly known as a gumiho (Jang Ki Young). The two panic over the situation and decide to temporarily live together in hopes of retrieving the marble.

Adding to the humor, the pair sets some peculiar ground rules for each other including forbidding contact with members of the opposite gender who are born in the Year of the Tiger; working together to come up with ways to retrieve the marble; banning fried chicken and beer; and not giving each other cold gazes. Viewers can look forward to seeing how the characters’ relationship develops through their unique roommate arrangements.

Promoting the drama, Jang Ki Young and Hyeri got together for the drama’s photoshoot Dressed in casual attire, they playfully took selfie pictures on a bed while staring at each other lovingly. Many fans praised the promotional photos for their sizzling chemistry, and joked that Hyeri’s off-screen boyfriend Ryu Jun Yeol should watch out for his relationship.

My Roommate is a Gumiho premieres on May 26.
