Janine Chang Rejected Roy Chiu Due to Mother’s Disapproval?

Taiwanese stars Janine Chang (張鈞甯) and Roy Chiu (邱澤) were photographed leaving his home together in the same car earlier. In response to this, Roy immediately expressed that he is pursuing Janine and praised her good qualities. However, Janine seems to be more cautious and later responded with, “Thank you for the love”. Such words made many believe she politely rejected him, although a source has pointed out that the reason may be because of Janine’s mother.

Known to be very close with her mother, Janine always asks for her advice on significant matters. This means her romantic relationships are also discussed with her mother, and it seems likely that Roy still hasn’t gained her mother’s approval. It is speculated that Janine purposely left a relatively ambiguous response to stall time, so she could find ways to persuade her mother in accepting Roy.

This is not surprising considering Roy’s history of messy relationships is widely known, and Janine’s mother may disapprove the 37-year-old actor due to this reason.

Janine’s fans have also deemed Roy unsuitable as well, and even cheered in response to the actress’ caution. Their comments included, “Congratulations to Janine for avoiding this disaster!”; “Thank goodness you rejected! Please don’t ever accept him”; and “This man is really unreliable”.

Despite such negativity in comments, Roy’s manager believes that Janine’s response is positive and she would not intentionally insult Roy.
