Japanese Actor Mizuki Itagaki Passed Away
Japanese actor, Mizuki Itagaki, tragically passed away due to an accident after being reported missing since January 2024. The 24-year-old former M!LK member suffered from mental illness before his untimely death. His family issued a statement on their social media on April 17 to confirm the news of his death.
After having been reported missing since January, Mizuki Itagaki’s body was found in Tokyo a few days ago. No further information has been revealed surrounding the cause of his death.
Mizuki Itagaki’s mental illness could be traced back to March of last year, when he was spotted in Shibuya with a sudden weight loss and bald head. Soon after this sighting, he was fired by his agency, Stardust Promotion. A month later, the then 23-year-old shared on his social media that he was hospitalized.
Mizuki Itagaki was scouted and began his career in the entertainment industry at just 10 years old. He made his acting debut in 2014 in the movie Dark Gold Ushima-kun Part 2 when he was 14 years old. He went on to star in movies such as Solomon’s Perjury and Hot Gimmick: Girl Meets Boy.

I will not speculate the exact reason to this artiste’s death. But it saddens me to see how much cover-up goes on in entertainment industry. Many victims from abuse that we never read about. We only know many artistes get severe depression and other mental issues as they get older.
