Jason Chan Loves to Buy Chanel Purses for Sarah Song
Since leaving TVB two years ago, married couple Jason Chan (陳智燊) and Sarah Song (宋熙年) have been managing their increasingly popular YouTube channel instead. Their vlogging chanel, “Sarah & Jason”, documents the couple’s day-to-day lives and covers various lifestyle topics such as food, travel, hobbies, and many others. Their channel has now reached over 127,000 subscribers. As the couple continues to add new content, their following is anticipated to rise.
Most recently, the couple uploaded a vlog about Sarah’s purse collection. Calling it “Sarah’s Collection”, the intended video series will introduce many of Sarah’s brand name purse collections. The first video focuses on her Chanel collection. During the video, it was revealed that only one of the purses featured in the video was purchased by Sarah herself – the rest were gifts from Jason.
Although worried that the topic of the video will garner negative reception from fans and viewers, Sarah emphasized that each purse has a sweet story and memory behind it. She stressed that she never requested Jason to buy her expensive purses. Instead, it is Jason’s attentiveness that led to the tradition of buying purses as gifts. Sarah reflected, “His weakness is that whenever he notices what I like, he would really want to buy it for me.”
Jason recalled a time when he was out of town for filming and spotted a purse that he thought would match with Sarah. Knowing her love for Chanel, he subconsciously would pay attention whenever he passed by stores that featured the brand. He expressed, “When we travel for work, it is inevitably that we would miss each other. So, I wanted to buy the purse and give it to her as a surprise.”
On her love for Chanel specifically, Sarah shared that Chanel’s purse models are classic and can withstand the test of time. In addition, its classic look also makes it an easy pairing with various outfits. She said, “Buying brand name purses do not mean one is superficial. If I had a daughter in the future, I would gift my purses, which would be considered vintage at that point, to her. I could also gift it to my daughter-in-law the future. I think this is a very meaningful thing.”

Life After TVB: Jason Chan and Sarah Song Make More Money as YouTubers
Woof that is horse face if I ever saw one … less purses more plastic surgery
@seriously SERIOUS!!!??? Why so much hate?? Before making such harsh comments on others, look in the mirror first. Bet you ain’t so hot yourself.
@dramafan Exactly. Some people are so vain. It’s mean to judge others’ looks. Beauty is in the eye of the beholder. As long as Jason loves her for who she is, that’s all that matters.
@kokomo lol, I NEVER mentioned anyone by name in my comment, so are you stating you think she has a horse face?
@seriously
Agreed, she’s not attractive. I don’t know how she won that pageant.
@anon she won pageant 13 yrs ago, so I’m sure she looks a little different now. Pageants arent just about looks anyway. For ex., Juliette Louie; i dont think Juliette is ugly, although some people think so. It was her confident performance that night that made her stand out
@seriously Well, he’s not exactly Mr. HK or British either? hahha I think they fit each other perfectly in terms of looks or talent.
i heard that this couple work very hard and do fare well compared to their days on tvb. kudos to jason for doing something nice for his wife.
I hope they are not receiving money to promote Chanel on their Youtube channel because this is looking rather suspicious…..
@jimmyszeto or maybe they want to be sponsored haha
@jimmyszeto
Good point and maybe they are promoting Chanel. I do not get the hype with Chanel. The bags are ugly to me yet so expensive.
Both mediocre acting especially Jason can be quite bad. Glad that they left TVB and they did better after leaving TVB. Being youtuber/blogger & speak in english suit them better.
They are small time youtubers looking for multi sponsorship….
@jimmyszeto sponsors also look at how many followers they have on social media
127,000 is considered to be popular already? Wow, and I thought the millions are popular. haha lol….. I I find them boring and annoying same as the guy’s acting. lol
@wm2017 that’s def an accomplishment. Not many Chinese youtubers have 1 mill subscribers. 127000 is kind of a lot; decent income
I know Chanel is really expensive and even their mini bags are worth a fortune, but seriously, the ones in that screen shot look so tiny and unflattering. However, even with that said, most branded purses rise in value over years so if they sold their bags, I’m sure they will actually make back what they invested and more. So generous hubby is also smart hubby.
Personally, if I wanted to speculate on an investment, it’d be gold and not purses, although purses can provide great short-term returns.
@coralie Not sure how Id feel about receiving a second hand purse from my mother in law lol. So long as I could sell it straight away I guess.
No point sugar coating it and making it out like theyre investments. Like you say, if you want to be sensible you would invest in gold. If its a superficial thing (it totally is) she should just own it.
@coralie
I think they are only investments if they are not used and just sit there until the value hopefully goes up. If they are used then the value drops right away. I think gold is a much better investment as you said.
