Jay Chou Cries Upon Daughter’s Birth
Jay Chou (周杰倫) and Hannah Quinlivan (昆凌) welcomed the birth of their daughter on July 10. Overjoyed by the baby’s arrival, Jay shed tears of joy when he saw his daughter for the first time.
Hannah and Jay secretly got married in 2014 before breaking the big news to their fans this year. Shortly after their fairy tale wedding ceremony in England in January, Hannah confirmed her pregnancy but expressed she would keep the due date a surprise for the time being.
Many speculated that Hannah, who carried the baby to full-term, was already pregnant since last October. However, the couple kept the pregnancy a secret until April. Jay’s relatives confirmed that Hannah gave birth via C-section to a healthy baby girl on July 10.
Although Jay has yet to upload a photo of the little princess, and has revealed little information about the baby, Jay did confirmed that the mother and daughter were doing well.
Good friend Will Lau (劉畊宏) advised Jay to cherish the first moments following a baby’s birth. As Jay is thrilled to become a father for the first time, he will take a hiatus of 40 days to enjoy this special time with Hannah and their daughter.
