Jeannie Chan Cries from Fatigue Due to Filming

Previously filming two dramas at the same time, Jeannie Chan (陳瀅) said she fell ill and cried due to the lack of sleep and stress from filming. But now that her part in ICAC Investigators <廉政行動> is done, she feels a little better and can focus on filming Golden Crime <黃金有罪>. The new TVB drama stars Eddie Cheung (張兆輝), Edwin Siu (蕭正楠), Tony Hung (洪永城), Elaine Yiu (姚子羚), and Yoyo Chen (陳自瑤).

Speaking with reporters, Jeannie was asked how she handled filming two dramas. Catching a cold while filming, Jeannie could not recover properly because every day she slept half an hour and continued on working. She remembered that on Winter Solstice, she didn’t sleep for 48 hours. When she returned home after filming, she broke down into tears at how difficult it was to carry both dramas concurrently

She also could not visit her grandma in Guangzhou to celebrate Winter Solstice, so it was a very stressful period. But Jeannie felt a lot better after she cried, and gaining the comfort and support from her friends, she motivated herself by saying the hard work will pay off later. Passionate about acting, Jeannie thinks it’s a good experience and may challenge her stamina by going 60 hours without sleep.

Meeting up with Joey Law

Spotted attending a carnival together with Joey Law (羅天宇), Jeannie was asked how her “date” went. The 29-year-old actress replied, “Perhaps it’s because the audience really liked our onscreen coupling that they may think this way, but we’re only good friends.” When asked if there is a chance of them ever dating, Jeannie said, “He’s a really good guy, but there won’t be any developments.”

  1. I don’t see Jeannie Chan lasting in ebiz, to be honest. Not that she’s a bad actress or anything, but I think this field is too hectic for her pace of life. I see her going the way Linda Chung did.

  2. Not a fan of her but if she wants to succeed, she’s got to tough it out. Gain the recognition in HK and then follow the path of all the TVB ladies that have left.

    1. @mike Not no sleep for 48 hours. That’s inhuman. She can reject roles but she’s up and coming and like being forced to entertain rich guys and sitting at tables so to speak, she can’t say no.
