Jessica Hsuan to Host New TV Program In Both Cantonese and English
Jessica Hsuan (宣萱) will be hosting a new informative television program, Create Hong Kong <敢創.香港>, in both Cantonese and English. The 18-episode show about Hong Kong’s technological and artistic achievements is co-produced by Our Hong Kong Foundation and TVB.
The 45-year-old actress attended the press conference for Create Hong Kong today with Hong Kong Permanent Secretary Raymond Young, GBS, JP (楊立門). The veteran actress said despite having over 20 years of onscreen experience, this program will be her first project as a television host.
“I’m afraid of committing outtakes, and that would definitely affect my co-host,” said Jessica. “I’ll also be hosting in both Cantonese and English.” Jessica expressed that it has been a while since she has last read a script in English, and is afraid that she would get tongue-tied.
The busy actress is also shooting the new Gary Tang (鄧特希) television drama The Hiddens <隱世者門>, which also stars Lawrence Ng (吳啟華) and Michael Tao (陶大宇).
“I’ve never had to do both acting and hosting work at the same time,” she said. “It’s quite tiring. I will also be going to Malaysia in March to promote a film. I’m going to be busy until April.”
Create Hong Kong will premiere on TVB Jade on February 4, 2016.
