Joe Chen Gets Upset Over Pressure to Have Kids

After officially registering their marriage in 2022, Taiwanese actress Joe Chen (陳喬恩) and Alan Chen (曾偉昌) spent two years preparing for their dream wedding which was held in Langkawi, Malaysia in September. Despite their nine-year age difference, Joe and Alan are in a sweet relationship and often share their public displays of affection on social media.

Finding true love at 40 years old, Joe’s fairytale relationship and marriage to Alan brought hope and optimism to many people. In her marital vows, Joe said to Alan, “The best person may come late in your life. However, you finally came. When you showed up, it was like God custom made you for me. You came at the perfect time because we both complement each other so well. We are able to live a normal, happy life that’s also filled with excitement. Thank you for loving me. I love you too, husband.”

Upon seeing their wedding photos, many applauded the couple’s sweetness and praised it renewed their hope for true love. Joe responded encouragingly, “You must first be able to take care of yourself. As long as you can love and take care of yourself, romantic love is just the cherry on top.”

As she is 45 years old, Joe admitted that having a children may be difficult. She is also too impatient to deal with children. Pestered again about motherhood, Joe finally said, “Is it really that important if a woman gives birth and have children? If you like, you can go and have your own children. If you don’t want to, then don’t have children. It’s not that hard to understand, right?”
