Joey Meng Considers Working with TVB Again

After Joey Meng‘s (萬綺雯) contract with TVB ended earlier, the 44-year-old actress decided to take a break from filming. Despite reports claiming that Joey was dissatisfied with the station’s poor and extreme work conditions, Joey stated that she maintains a good relationship with TVB.

While her previous contract arrangement allowed her a lot of freedom, Joey decided to nourish her poor health first. “I’ll think about it after summer vacation and see how my health is first. I have a consensus [with TVB]. Our relationship is good.”

Having recently returned from a trip to Europe, Joey would like to plan a vacation with her husband, Chan Sap Sam (陳十三). “Let’s see how my husband’s schedule is. I also have to stay in Hong Kong to film commercials. We will both have to find time to go on vacation together!”

Attending a book bazaar function recently, Joey shared that while she used to enjoy reading romance novels, she currently prefers inspirational books that provide deeper insight on the principles of life. Due to her busy work schedule in the past few years, Joey only read drama scripts and had no time for leisurely reading.

When asked whether she and her husband share similar reading interests, Joey shook her head, “The books he reads aren’t for me. He reads history books to help with his script writing! I am more comfortable reading books that I like. Reading his books is like being back in high school!”
