Joey Yung’s Mother Is Lesbian?
In the music industry for eleven years, Joey Yung Cho Yi, broke her personal record by holding twelve concert sessions at the Hong Kong Coliseum. Rumored romantic interest, Denise Ho Wan Sze, attended multiple sessions of Joey’s concert. Joey even sang renditions of Denise’s songs, along with her own music, at the concert. Joey did not try to avoid a “Brokeback” relationship with Denise, which had been rumored for nine years.
Divorced for fifteen years, Joey’s forty-eight year-old mother, Yu Kam Fung, started a lesbian relationship four years ago with Kwan Yuet Yan. Recently, Ms. Kwan even moved into Joey’s house to live with her mother. The “family of three” now live together at the Evergreen Villa Mansion. Allegedly, “Half-a-Son” Denise Ho and Joey have been calling Ms. Kwan, “Father” (阿爸).
Through her company assets, Ms. Kwan has helped the Yungs invest in several luxury properties. Helping the Yungs manage their fiances, it appears that Ms. Kwan’s relationship was inseparable from the family.

Jayne: More women seem to find their “lesbian” side in their middle age now. First there was Susanna Kwan, Ah So (So Sze Wong) from TVB cooking show, “So Good” and now Joey’s mother too!
Denise and Joey seem less discrete about their friendship/ relationship now. Denise has always been eager to talk Joey positively in front of the press though.
Maybe it is a case of easier to be with someone your gender than be with a man? Are all of us innately gay? I am curious too, I mean so many mid way changed direction.
Funn, sometimes I wonder too! But women tend to be more emotional than men…wouldn’t there be too much “drama” in a lesbian relationship? Too many tears?
Ha ha ha Jayne be careful of all the stampeding women suffering from PMS!
Maybe.. women can be emotional but somehow my perception of 2 women in a relationship, one would take the masculine role therefore less emotional and one the feminine role, therefore emotional. But that is like saying women are emotional. Some women can be rather cold.
I don’t know. Maybe it is just easier to be with a woman because there exists sort of an equilibrium? If a man and a woman, it is expected a woman follows that of a man. But 2 women, now there’s a 50-50 chance of I suppose give and take?
Oh what do I know! I am not married and I am not in a relationship with a woman. Only those who are in a relationship can answer that.
So married people or those in serious relationship, would you agree between man-woman, woman follows, man leads? But in woman-woman, there is a chance of interchangable roles?
Call me oldfashioned but all these stars in lesbian relationships, I always see a feminine one and the other a masculine one.
Maybe she is not lesbian but is bisexual?? She was once married to a man and had children so I guess I would not call that just lesbianism. I actually worry that if too many people are lesbian/gay then how will we reproduce then??
This is a true story.
Girl A met Girl B at her bachelorette party. After one yr of marriage, Girl A left her husband to be with Girl B
Yes the correct term is bisexual. Reproduction is easy these days without the need of a heterosexual relationship. Moreover these days those who go and form a meaningful lesbian relationships are older women so that thing about babies is not in the equation.
Joey’s mother look beautiful for her age. She has a very ‘ching sau’ look.
@ HeTieShou
This earth is facing over population problem. No need to worry about the small number of gays/lesbians.
At that angle she looks like an older Tang Wei don’t you think?
Overpopulation? Not according to Singapore. They want MORE children. MORE.
Well, China sure feel that they are over populate.
China, India, yes lar. Eh, the poorer the more populated.
@Funn,
Singapore wants more ELITE children. So if you are lesbian and stupid, it’s ok. If you are lesbian and smart, then they worry.
Well, she could be a lesbian. I mean, some lesbians have relationships with men, and then they figure out they like women better.
Not s
Oh lord, I clicked “submit” by accident.

Not sure, but if it were me, I’d see people as themselves. Not by personality.
Depends on how you see things?
I did not know that Singapore needed more kids?? I thought they have the highest population density in the world(which is the most people in a small area)? Therefore, why would they want more kids? I know that China and India sure don’t since they are trying to cut back on their population.
For some people, perhaps our sexual preferences do evolve over time, if given chance to experiment without any inhibitions. Sexual preference, like any preferences we hold, can be shaped by the people we meet and experiences we go through.
For example, Joey’s mother and Susanna Kwan both went through divorces. This life changing event could have challenged their beliefs about the relationships, what makes it work and what does not. Perhaps the spiritual connection mattered more. For women, sex is often an expression of our emotions. If an originally straight woman cares for another woman, they will probably achieve sexual gratification together, as the bodies become an expression for the love.
I think switching over and becoming a lesbian later in life is more than just sexual preferences. I do think that if you find the right person to love, that person is capable of reshaping your beliefs, including sexual preferences.
That’s a rather drastic change of preference. And a brave on considering in Asia it is still a taboo.
LOL-per my friend from Singapore, the government wants more Chinese to reproduce as they are lacking Chinese Singaporean there. The Malays, Indians, and Indonesians are well reproduced.
Base on my observations and conversations with my elders colleagues, I believe after being with a man for so many years sharing the ups and downs, at this point in their life, they are seeking for a companionship rather than a sexual relationship. Like Funn said, in a lesbian relationship, there is a “manly” one and a “womanly” one. In Susanna’s case, she would be the womanly one and her other half would be the manly one. Eventhough her partner is a lesbian, she still possesses woman traits, which in general, we are more understanding, more caring, and more nurturing. And again, I said, in general, not applicable to all, there are always exceptions.
who is susanna kwan’s partner?
sex is going to be awkward…
I see a Gayle & Oprah relationship with Denise and Joey.
Both are great friends and maybe one of them is interested in the other but they aren’t together.
It’s normal for girls to be really close friends.
Joey’s mom is quite pretty. It’ll be a waste if she doesn’t use her looks to attract some men.
It’s a known fact that homosexuality is unnatural in nature for in the natural order of things males are attracted to females and vice versa. If you seem to be only attracted to your own sex you are either a Lesbian or gay. What about Susanna akwan and Joey’s mother who were divorcees, and had borne children. After their sparation from their spouses did thay suddenly found that it was more ‘comfortable’to be with their own sex partners, just like that? Maybe, even before they got married they already had Lesbian tendencies but could not admit it and so got into loveless marriages. Finally, however, things could not go on and so the ultimate result was divorce. What a relief then it would have been to them Now, they could finally find partners whom they could truly relate to and love. What I’m trying to say is, that , right from the beginning the 2 ladies were already Lesbians. As for being afraid that the world would eventually be under-populated because of the incidences of more homosexuals I wouldn’t worry at all as, actually, they are just a tiny lot of them and may of them are anxious to have children too. What a funny world!

“It’s a known fact that homosexuality is unnatural in nature for in the natural order of things males are attracted to females and vice versa.”
Actually, this is not true. Homosexuality or same-sex behaviour is actually seen in nearly all types of animals. Just try wikipedia and you will see a very detailed entry on it. This link also provides a detailed description.
http://www.physorg.com/news164376975.html
This sort of behaviour has been reported among birds, dolphins, bonobos and other apes. Bonobos are in fact a fully bisexual species. So, same-sex behaviour is actually very common and natural in nature. It’s just humans who label it.
Don’t get me wrong, I’m not trying to promote it or anything but just saying that homosexuality is more widespread in nature than we have actually been led to believe.
“It’s a known fact that homosexuality is unnatural in nature for in the natural order of things males are attracted to females and vice versa”
Totally agreed! Homosexual behavior, especially, is behavior that will put an end to nations and humanity.Homosexuals do not procreate, so the human race will vanish! This kind of behavior is forbidden by national law, universal law, and natural law.People cannot be oblivious to the basic responsibilities of human beings, otherwise we cannot even compare to animals. Notice how animals do not engage in homosexual behavior. Some may argue that same-sex lab rats practice homosexuality, but that is because you force these rats. Has anyone confined you so that you are only with those of your sex and make you practice homosexuality? This kind of behavior defies creation; it is wrong. We must be normal and not psychologically deranged. We must have proper knowledge and proper views.
Darren – you are incorrect, Animals DO in fact engage in homosexual behavior. There is scientific evidence documenting the homosexual behavior of animals in their natural habitat and not in labs were they are “forced” to engage in these behavior as you have suggested. These animals include primates, birds, etc. There is much research and papers available on the internet documenting such cases if you are interested.

Thank you. Apparently no one read my above post.
