Jung Ho Yeon May Return to “Squid Game 2”
South Korean actress Jung Ho Yeon became an overnight sensation in Squid Game and won hearts with her portrayal of Kang Sae Byeok, a resourceful and spunky contestant from North Korea. Although the character perished by the end of the series, Squid Game creator Hwang Dong Hyuk teased that the actress could be returning to the sequel as Kang Sae Byeok’s twin.
Speaking to the media at the Producers Guild Awards, Hwang Dong Hyuk revealed that he had not started writing the script but he planned to include more exciting games in the sequel. When asked what characters are making an appearance in the sequel, Hwang Dong Yuk shared, “Most of the characters from Season 1 are dead, but I will try something to get them back. Maybe Kang Sae Byeok has a twin sister.”
Jung Ho Yeon laughed and joked in reply, “I can change my hair color. I’ll do some plastic surgery.”
Aside from being a commercial success, Squid Game received critical acclaim and made history as the first non-English language series to win Screen Actors Guild Awards. At the Producers Guild of America Awards, Squid Game was nominated for Outstanding Producer of Episodic Television and received a shout out from Steven Spielberg who praised the series for being a game changer and “completely changing the math for all of us.”

Please don’t ruin the international sensation this series has become by recycling some overused lazy plot device like she has a long lost twin to bring the actress back.
No, she had a brother thats it. Really hope he was just joking.
