Kai Ko Recovers from Facial Injuries
Taiwanese actor Kai Ko (柯震東) suffered serious facial disfigurement after a drone blew up on the filming set of upcoming Netflix’s fantasy series Agent from Above <乩身> on December 27. Since the accident, Kai has been recuperating in hospital.
Kai was filming an action scene at the time, and a drone was used to capture closeups of his face. However, the drone suddenly malfunctioned and exploded on him. Seriously injured by the fragments, Kai was immediately sent to the hospital for treatment. His eyes were fortunately not harmed, however his cheekbone area required 20 to 30 stitches.
After the accident, Kai eased concerns with updates on his current recovery process through his Instagram stories. On January 23, he uploaded a photo of an uninjured side of his face while lying on a hospital bed receiving treatment. “I am improving little by little,” He commented.
His regular photo updates show large quantities of cotton swabs and gauze being used to treat the wounds. He also shared photos of get-well gifts he received, including a fruit basket from his production company.
With his updates, fans are feeling relieved to see the actor remaining in positive spirits despite the shocking injury. Facial disfigurement could severely impact an artiste’s career, so it is reassuring to see that Kai is recovering well.
