Kalok Chow Stands in Front Row at TVB Sales Expo

TVB had its Sales Expo on October 22 in Tseung Kwan O, where nearly 200 artistes attended to promote dramas slated for 2022 release. The standing position of the artistes usually hint at the station’s favored artistes for the Anniversary Awards and upcoming year. For the first time, Kalok Chow (周嘉洛) got to stand in the front row alongside popular A-list artistes.

The 26-year-old actor, who found fame through Come Home Love: Lo and Behold <愛·回家之開心速遞>, saw a quick promotion this year as part of TVB’s strategy to cultivate a new generation of under-30 leading actors. Kalok was even dubbed as part of the Millennial Five Tigers. Kalok is headlining Your Highness, The Hooligan <痞子殿下> and is currently filming 42 Chapters <四十二章經> with Moses Chan (陳豪).

At the sales expo, Kalok stood to the far right of #1 Big Brother, Moses Chan (陳豪), and was one of the few young actors in his 20s allowed the honor to stand in the first row.

In the front row center are Liza Wang (汪明荃) and Nancy Sit (薛家燕), who regularly receive the honors. Vincent Wong (王浩信), Ruco Chan (陳展鵬), Natalie Tong (唐詩詠), Kenneth Ma (馬國明), Mandy Wong (黃智雯), Ben Wong (黃智賢), Elaine Yiu (姚子羚), Joe Ma (馬德鐘), and Ali Lee (李佳芯) also stood in the front row due to their upcoming dramas in 2022.

When the Sales Expo finally began, TVB’s executive team consisting of Eric Tsang (曾志偉), Wong Cho Lam (王祖藍), Catherine Tsang (曾勵珍), Virginia Lok (樂易玲), and newly appointed Creative Director of Production, C-Kwan (C君) took the stage. There were reports indicating that Ms. Tsang and Ms. Lok avoided wearing heels given that the male executives were barely over 5 feet tall.

As for the station’s upcoming programs, Chief Creative Officer Wong Cho Lam personally introduced the 26 different variety shows that the company will be releasing in celebration of TVB’s 55th anniversary. He hopes to expand upon food-related variety shows by adding new features and tactics.
