Kary Ng Announces Marriage with Tennis Player Brian Hung
Yesterday 28-year-old singer Kary Ng (吳雨霏) announced her marriage to 29-year-old Brian Hung (洪立熙), previously known as Hong Kong’s “prince of tennis.” The couple registered their marriage in the United States and are expected to hold a formal wedding banquet in Hong Kong come July.
Kary quoted a verse from the Bible in a post on her Sina Weibo account, writing, “Love is patient, love is kind. It does not envy, it does not boast, it is not proud. (1 Corinthians 13:4) Marriage is an important lesson in life. In the days following this, we will support one another, cherish one another, and respect one another. Thank you for your blessings, everyone. We are extremely happy!”
On-Off Relationship with Happy Ending
Kary and Brian’s parents first introduced them to each other when Kary was 13 years old. Nevertheless, they did not begin a romantic relationship until seven years later. Though their relationship was on and off, and they ended up breaking up three times, they ultimately were back together in June of last year.
Knowing that Kary wanted a family, Brian began preparing for their wedding at the end of last year. However, he also wanted to officially propose to her, so he surprised her with a proposal during a trip to Italy.
The couple then went to the United States to register their marriage, with the bride and groom’s parents present to witness the occasion. They plan to return to Hong Kong in early February and will hold their wedding banquet there in July.
Kary will continue with her singing career and extend her contract with Universal Music. Brian, on the other hand, has already successfully turned to a career in banking.
Shawn Yue Sends Blessings
When asked about Kary’s wedding news, her previous boyfriend, actor Shawn Yue (余文樂), expressed his blessings through his management company. “Congratulations to her,” his message said. “I wholeheartedly wish that she will find happiness.”

wow congratz! lots of wedding this year!
2015 Goat Year is called blind year as there is no li chun/lap chun (translated as beginning of the year) means inauspicious year. Traditionally means marriage might affect next generation problem. Some people might not want to take the risk. It is better to be safe than sorry.
Also means, plans made in blind year could hardly be executed.
That’s why many people try to be legally married before 2015 Feb 19.
2014 Horse Year has double spring/li chun/lap chun means very auspicious especially for marriage, that is a new beginning of a person next stage in life, producing the next generation of their heritage.
Oh my gosh, you actually believe in this stuff? I used to as well but we should not let it control our lives since it is most likely not true in many cases. However, time will tell if next year is s good or bad year. I hope it will be a good year though.
I’m not against you/your comment.
I’m saying, the difference between proactive person and those waiting for things to happen before declare it is bad.
2015 is going to be bad year, tough, many difficulties, problems, challenges, catastrophes. Bit slightly better than 2014 but still bad.
Don’t believe, doesn’t mean you can deny/rid the energy/qi that is circulating. Qi/energy is not superstitious, it is real. We plan before bad things really hit.
The energy/qi already started before Feb 4 kick in. A lot of retrenchment will occur, and has happened. People fired, can’t find job. It is tough to make money, business slowdown, banks not lending.
I won’t say a lot of 2015 forecast. That’s it. Signed off.
We are congratulating all couples to be happily married.
All I can say lets wait and see. I do not believe in everything being predestined. Some things are but not everything. My father used to say the same types of things you did,but it all ended up being total BS.
2015 Goat Year start 2015 Feb 4.
