Ken Kwok Rejected Lynn Hung Before First Date

Model-actress Lynn Hung (熊黛林) married Ken Kwok (郭可頌), actress Kenix Kwok’s (郭可盈) younger brother, in 2016. It may appear as if Ken was the lucky one, but little did we know that it was actually Lynn who was interested in Ken first.

Sharing her dating experience on a Chinese talk show, Lynn said she first met Ken through a mutual friend. Lynn and Ken’s older sister Kwok Ho Sze (郭可思) had been friends for many years, but Lynn and Ken didn’t meet up until a mutual friend of theirs decided to introduce them to each other.

Lynn had a wonderful first impression of Ken. She really enjoyed his company, and admired his politeness and filial piety. She then asked Ken out for an official first date, but was rejected: “Do you want to hang out together at my friend’s bar?” Ken replied, “Ah! I’m not free that day!”

Lynn didn’t give up, and then took the initiative to ask Ken out on a meal. Shy, reserved, and unsure of himself, Ken said no. Lynn’s friend then broke the ice, telling Ken: “Just go for it!”

It worked. The couple married in 2016, and are now parents to two beautiful twin girls, Kaylor and Lyvia.
