Kenix Kwok Lip-Syncing During Performance?
Former Miss Hong Kong and ex-TVB leading actress Kenix Kwok (郭可盈) has kept a low profile in the entertainment industry since her last drama, Born Rich <富貴門> aired in 2009, focusing on her family life after marriage.
Denies Onscreen Return
Recently, the ageless beauty surprised fans by making appearances on stage in Beijing and Guizhou! Many praised her well-maintained appearance while discussions of the actress’s possible TV comeback were sparked online. Though Kenix and her husband Frankie Lam (林文龍) denied rumors of her return during a recent event, she was spotted performing on stage again in Jilin, drawing a large crowd.
A netizen uploaded a video of Kenix performing Sammi Cheng‘s (鄭秀文) song “Forever Beauty” <終身美麗> on stage, wearing a sparkling off-shoulder evening gown. Smiling throughout the performance, the 55-year-old interacted warmly with the audience, and waved to fans, exuding friendliness and humility. Amid comments that the actress is “aging gracefully” and “still so beautiful”, sharp-eyed viewers noticed that she might have been lip-syncing towards the end of the song, raising discussions.
Couple Owns Luxurious Properties
Kenix’s reappearance on stage also evoked netizens’ curiosity about why someone as wealthy as her would return to performing. Coming from a well-off family, Kenix’s father, Kwok Dat Cheung (郭達昌), had built a fortune through a plastics manufacturing business. After his passing in 2011, he allegedly left over HKD10 billion in assets to his four children.
After stepping away from the spotlight, Kenix reportedly took over the family business, leading a life of financial stability, and also owns several properties together with her husband. Aside from their four-storey villa in Sai Kung’s Clear Water Bay, Kenix also purchased four sea-view apartments in One SilverSea in 2005 for about HKD50 million. Her property holdings are estimated to be worth nearly HKD200 million.

Kenix looks better with weight on her, not scarily anorexic like she was back then. But her face seems a little bloated – not attributable to weight gain because her frame is still thin. I think she’s had too much procedures done…
Firstly, she was never Miss HK, and only a runner-up of sort……..Secondly, she was never able to sing back then, and sure as tiiities, could not sing now……….Lastly, I would hardly call her an ageless beauty, cause she sure looks pretty old, if not for all that make-up on her face.
