Kenneth Ma Saves Money for Marriage
With the TVB 46th Anniversary Gala coming up on November 19, a group of TVB artists including Kenneth Ma (馬國明), Myolie Wu (胡杏兒), Edwin Siu (萧正楠), and Ruco Chan (陳展鵬), appeared at a prize draw function to promote for the large-scale annual show. The artists performed and participated in games in hopes to win valuable goods.
The grand prizes included jewelry, watches, an expensive car, and a luxurious flat, which totaled over $10 million HKD. Kenneth expressed he would be happy with any of prizes, but has never had any luck with prize draws. “I’ve been driving the same car for five years, and living in the same house for over twenty years. I hope to change my luck during the anniversary gala and win a car or house!”
Similar to Kenneth, Myolie expressed the most she has ever won was $20 HKD from a lottery. Her wish is to be the grand winner of the luxurious new flat. Myolie’s team successfully beat Kenneth’s during a challenging game in which they had to pull the tablecloth off a table without knocking over any items on top. Their team ended up lucky by walking away with $10,000 HKD from a draw.
During the game, Kenneth accidentally sent a fork flying onto the prize car, scratching it a little. Other artists immediately claimed Kenneth must pay a fine for the damage, but he said he is very poor. “I need to earn more money, or else how can I get married in the future?” Asked if he has a woman in mind, Kenneth replied, “Nope, but I still need to save money. Although I like simple weddings, I need to consider what my other half wants!” Kenneth joked he would also like to win a tub of gasoline, because it is practical and would be able to save him a lot of money.

Wow when I saw the title and the picture and didn’t read the article yet it made me think Kenneth Ma was dating Myolie secretly and just got revealed.
o__O LOL. Well the title is very misleading when placed with the phot, so I totally understand- but the picture…for some reason Myolie and Kenneth really don’t spark as a ‘couple’ for me onscreen, or even offscreen.

Yea Kenneth Ma always talk about money and wanting make more money and not having enough money and getting more money to have a wife. But he doesn’t even have a girlfriend yet.

Those guys simply earn bigger buck than your Ma Ming, lolz. They don’t have to say continuously about money but people still know they are rich and successful. It is said that whoever say about money money money won’t have money.

love ma ming’s affection for myolie it shows hpw much appeal myolie get from males but myolie herself said she already has many suitors from outside the industry and has tried dating one for 2 months recently although haven’t found the best one yet. ma ming you need to work better to get myolie’s attention! they look like a perfect couple up there!

agree funn ma ming’s practical and wise saving money mind is very good. wonder who the lucky woman will be since he’s very considerate of his other half, but ma ming looks much into myolie here. really hard for him because myolie has lots of suitors and ma ming has to fight for her affection. good luck handsome 🙂

Everyone knows that a top-notch artiste in Hong Kong makes tons of money vs. a regular citizen. I don’t think there is a need for Kenneth Ma to talk about money or making money all the time. He sounds very annoying to me. I am sure that there are lot of artistes in Hong Kong who make less money than Kenneth Ma, but they don’t seem to have it “on their lips” constantly.

With the high real estate prices in HK for common flats, a flat for a luxurious flat for $10 million HKD is about rather low but even if it is right but with the expensive cars, watches and jewelry, etc. , I would think that the total would be higher. The word “luxury” was probably embellished to describe the flat which was a common flat with more square footage to consider it “luxury”. Wonder where this flat is located. A used home in Ho Man Tin flat cost $38 mil for 1500 sq. ft. and a much smaller home in Central is about 7 mil for 600 sq. ft.

The apartment given away is in mainland China; this has been a tradition in past TVB Anniversary celebrations.
