Kenneth Ma Says No To a Baby Before Marriage

On talk show Master’s Talk <Master’s Talk師父有請>, Kenneth Ma (馬國明), Lai Lok Yi (黎諾懿), and Hubert Wu‘s (胡鴻鈞) fortunes in the Year of the Ox were read by feng shui master Mak Ling Ling (麥玲玲). Her fortune reading for Kenneth raised eyebrows when she predicted that the actor will become a father first before marriage.  While many celebrities are increasingly getting pregnant before marriage, Kenneth Ma (馬國明) wants to do things the traditional way and get married first.

Due to his practical nature, Kenneth has never fallen in love at first sight and only dates other women after getting to know them first. When Mak Ling Ling stated that Kenneth has very strong connections with women despite never needing to take initiative, the actor replied, “I don’t really think so – Hubert and I are very similar. If we connect naturally, then the chances of arguments will be low. I don’t let my love life affect work. In the past, there have been arguments because of our difference in personalities, but there’s no right or wrong. But there are no problems once the issue is over.”

Dating Roxanne Tong (湯洛雯) for one year, Kenneth is often prompted to get married soon. On the latest speculations regarding when they will tie the knot, Kenneth promised to let everyone when the time comes.

As to the palm reading that Kenneth will have children before marriage, he disagreed. “I think the chances are low–having children before marriage is unlikely. I hope to get married first before having children. I treat all my dating relationships seriously, with marriage as the end goal in mind. As I’m very realistic, dating is a waste of time if marriage is not on the table especially as I work all day and rarely get any sleep.”
