Kevin Cheng Absent From Kenneth Ma’s Lunar New Year Gathering

Despite becoming close with his costars after A Fistful of Stances <鐵馬尋橋>, Kevin Cheng (鄭嘉穎) has distanced himself from Kenneth Ma (馬國明), Natalie Tong (唐詩詠), Stephen Wong (黃嘉樂), and Jazz Lam (林子善).  Kevin cited the demanding schedule of being a parent to three children and the difficulties of traveling for Kenneth’s destination wedding.

Kevin has continued to remain absent in subsequent get-togethers with the group. He was notably absent at Kenneth’s home for a Lunar New Year gathering. Despite Kevin’s absence, the group seems to have gained another member. Forming a solid friendship with Kenneth after collaborating in Queen of News (新聞女王), Samantha Ko (高海寧) was also in attendance at Kenneth’s home.

Handing out red envelopes out to their friends, Roxanne shared on social media, “Whenever we all get together, it’s full of happiness and laughter. I look forward to gathering again soon. Samantha is definitely a mahjong queen. [She won with a] Thirteen Orphans (十三么) hand!”

Kenneth also sentimentally referred to the group of close friends as his family, writing, “Happy New Year… Good health and prosperity… Peace and safety for the whole family.”

For Lunar New Year this year, Kevin instead visited talent manager Florence Chen’s (陳淑芬) home with his wife Grace Chan (陳凱琳) and their three children. Kevin and Grace also held their own Lunar New Year celebration at home, inviting good friend Katy Kung (龔嘉欣) and others over for dinner.
