Kevin Cheng is Looking Forward to Being a Responsible Father

After Kevin Cheng (鄭嘉穎) and Grace Chan (陳凱琳) announced they are expecting, the couple are now busy preparing for the arrival of their child. While Grace prepares to give birth in Hong Kong, Kevin will have more responsibility to earn money and take care of the family.

Kevin is ready to take on the new responsibilities and has ideas on how to raise their new baby. “I have the responsibility to take care of my family. I want the child to have a safe environment to grow.  I don’t the child to worry about anything. I don’t need the baby to grow up to be really smart. I don’t have a lot of expectations and I only want the child to grow up to not harm society.”

Pregnancy Wasn’t a Surprise

When asked if Grace’s pregnancy was a surprise, Kevin admitted it wasn’t a surprise and took extra steps to confirm Grace was really expecting. “Grace said she wasn’t feeling well and felt a bit nauseous. I told her to get it checked out more and don’t have too much expectations. When Grace did her checks and affirmed that she was pregnant, I told her again to not be too excited.  Later, Grace took a pregnancy test and it came out positive. Still, I asked her to check with the doctor.  When the doctor finally confirmed it, we were happier than winning the lottery.  I took extra steps to confirm because I didn’t want to be disappointed.”

Grace is a Perfect Wife

Grace often said that Kevin deserves full marks for being considerate and thoughtful, but he believes that Grace deserves more points. “Grace is biased. I give her 200 points! Everyone has shortcomings because no one is perfect. Grace has more positive traits than shortcomings. Of course when two people live together, they need to learn to accommodate each other.”

Plans for a Bigger Family?

When Kevin was asked if he was planning to have more children, Kevin responded, “That’s not for me to decide. I will know hard it is for Grace after she gives birth. Obviously, it is better to have two children so that they won’t grow up spoiled.”

Kevin wants Grace to have the honor of revealing the baby’s gender; however Ben Wong (黃智賢) may have let the cat out of the bag by saying he saw the baby’s bulge!
