Kevin Cheng Praises Grace Chan’s Humor

TVB drama, Birth of a Hero <翻生武林>, will be entering it finale week. Grace Chan is glad that boyfriend, Kevin Cheng (陳凱琳) has returned from filming in Thailand and will be able to watch the drama.

Watching the drama from the first episode onward, Kevin was impressed by Grace’s comedic performance. “He said, ‘It turns out you have a sense of humor. You’re okay in comedies.’ I felt he was mocking me, so I said, ‘Since I’m dating you, of course I have a sense of humor.’ He then teased that my reaction time is faster,” Grace laughed.

Although it took approximately five months to film Birth of a Hero and there was wirework involved in the fight scenes, Grace still enjoyed filming the series. “My emotions would be happier while filming a comedy. Each day, we think about funny things we can do onscreen to make viewers happier.” Grace does not even mind if she has to sacrifice her looks and appear like Sisley Choi (蔡思貝) did in Legal Mavericks <踩過界> if the role warrants it.

Ben Wong (黃智賢), who was also at the promotional event today, revealed that the finale will feature the deaths of two major characters. Grace is confident that the finale of Birth in a Hero will result in ratings of 26 to 27 viewership ratings points.
