Kim Sae Ron’s Alleged Husband was Abusive?

Actress Kim Sae Ron’s suicide topped headline news since her passing on February 16. Reportedly dating Kim Soo Hyun when she was just 15 years old, their relationship timeline came under scrutiny when the actor denied the allegations. As Kim Sae Ron’s family continued to produce photo evidence proving their relationship, Kim Soo Hyun finally admitted through his company that he did indeed date Kim Sae-ron, but only when she was legally of age. Public opinion seems to sway on Kim Sae-ron’s side, and the ongoing negative press has impacted Kim Soo Hyun’s projects. The first season of Knock-Off, which was originally set to premiere in April, has been postponed. The second season, which was planned to begin filming in the United States next month, has also been postponed. Kim Soo Hyun is scheduled to attend a cherry blossom festival event in Taiwan on March 30. Most recently, YouTuber Lee Jin Ho released a recorded phone call that indicates Kim Sae Ron was married to a man outside the entertainment industry prior to her death. Claiming Kim Sae Ron was married and had an abortion, Lee Jin Ho also supplied a leaked phone recording to corroborate the claims. In the recording, Kim Sae Ron shared with her manager that her husband became abusive when drunk and often physically assaulted her. Her manager allegedly told Lee Jin Ho, “I recently saw Kim Sae Ron twice. That person [her husband] then sent messages to scold me. I wanted to yell back at him, but for Kim Sae Ron’s sake, I did not respond. Her husband then used another number to contact me and continued scolding me. Kim Sae Ron later apologized to me on his behalf. She said he is abusive and would threaten her. She showed me a photo of herself with a knife wound on her neck.” Kim Sae Ron’s manager stated that he never provided the recording to Lee Jin Ho, nor did he consent to having the recording made public.
